Sorry, but I find Jack Laytons testimony on the matter rather suspect. I'll tell you what though Cannuck, I will dig around myself and if I find something backing up your claim that is not opinion based I will concede that you were right.

I'm afraid I understand it the same way cannuck does. The Cons were willing to do the same damn thing when it came to the bloc.

And that is absolutely irrelevant.

If Harper had of successfully done that, he would never have won an election.

Harper did NOT form a coalition, in 2004, 2006, or 2008.

The Liberals Bloc, and NDP DID form a coalition, and were only prevented from taking power by prorogation.

The point being that any coalition with the BQ is completely unacceptable, no matter who does it.

And Harper is NOT the one that will likely be in that position this time around.

Actually, I think the issue needs to be dropped. The Count has said he won't and we should take him at his word...........

How so? He flirted with the idea, that says volumes Colpy! Where it came to fruition of not.

Harper is going to hang himself harping about coalitions.

He did more than flirt with the idea..

He is as power hungry as the rest of them.........but that is not the issue right now.

And since the Count discounted the idea of a coalition, the idea should be dropped.

Lone Wolf may be correct.

Now I get where you were going, my bad.

Oh, and as a side note. Cannuck, that would be me admitting an error. I know you have trouble with understanding such things, but thta's what it looks like. You should try it some time.

Alright, I did some fact checking and concede the Cannuck was right.

Although, I'm not sure how the coalition related to my post in the first place.

Are you sure he was reading between the lines? Or twisting your words?

It's his usual MO when he can't actually debate the topic, amongst other pitiful traits.

No doubt you do. Is there any particular reason I should care?

I'll tell you what though Cannuck, I will dig around myself and if I find something backing up your claim that is not opinion based I will concede that you were right.

My claim of what? That Harper was power hungry? What other reason other than a hunger for power would a conservative even consider climbing into bed with a socialist (and a separatist). Do you actually deny that he was cozying up to the Bloc or are you just arguing the semantics of what actual steps he was taking?

And that is absolutely irrelevant.

Since we were discussing Harper's hunger for power, it is not irrelevant. He was willing to climb into bed with separatists/socialists in order to gain power. There simply is no refuting that.

More personal attacks eh. So sorry that I don't bother to read ever post before I respond to one. I was going to apologize but have decided that, due to you childish response, I won't be doing that. Run along now.

No need, I wouldn't want one in the first place.

Perhaps if you stopped running your yap, did a little less trolling you might have caught the post.

Unlike you I admit when I've made a mistake.

I did catch the post. What's your point? Perhaps if you stopped running your yap, did a little less trolling you might not have said such silly things that were so easily refuted. Then you wouldn't have to get all pissy..

There's more of that "logical consistency" you keep crying about!

And a childish "tit for tat" thumbs down to boot!!

To bad you aren't like that with the thumbs up I give ya. I guess not all of us can be objective, like me.

You really are the clown prince Cannuck.

I'm not pissy, and you are contradicting yourself.

It really isn't my problem if you don't post anything deserving of a thumbs up. Maybe you should consider posting different stuff if it really matters to you.

Sorry, I'm not prone to logical inconsistency and not substantiating my claims, like yourself. My bad. I guess you'll never give me a thumbs up then.
