I voted in the advance poll and the booth was one foot away from a bench and they allowed people to sit there where they could see how you marked your ballot.
I told the people in charge but they did not seem to care.
I went in, handed my card and drivers license, got a ballot, made my mark, that was that. About three minutes from the time I walked in, to the time I walked out.
Only the Liberals had a scrutineer at that poll. (Not that it did them any good!)
I had the exact same experience as TenPenny(except for the Liberal scrutineer, that is). It went as smooth as possible and I was there maybe a grand total of five minutes.
Besides taking the card with me, I also took two bills with my name & address on them & a photo ID[just in case i was challenged as one time before they refused to let me vote].Everything carried with me had to be used and I was criticised by the old ID I had on me, but was allowed to vote.No real problems, but went to ServiceNB yesterday and had a new photo ID done up.
