who knows, maybe it can be:

According to the American Diabetes Association, in 2012, 29.1 million Americans, or 9.3% of the population, had diabetes. [1] Not only is diabetes one of the most prevalent diseases that face Americans today, the rate of people with diabetes is on the rise. According to a study completed by the CDC & Research Triangle Institute concluded that If recent trends in diabetes prevalence rates continue linearly over the next 50 years, future changes in the size and demographic characteristics of the U.S. population will lead to dramatic increases in the number of Americans with diagnosed diabetes. [2]

So what is being done to face the current diabetic epidemic? The typical approach: According to the current mainstream approach, the major goal in treating diabetes is to minimize any elevation of blood sugar (glucose) without causing abnormally low levels of blood sugar. Type 1 diabetes is treated with insulin, exercise, and a diabetic diet. Type 2 diabetes is treated first with weight reduction, a diabetic diet, and exercise. [3] Currently the belief is “Diabetes is a chronic disease that has no cure.”– The American Diabetes Association.

What if there was a way to reverse diabetes, and not just treat it? That is the very thought that Gabriel Cousens wanted to put into action.

He took 6 test subjects who were all suffering from type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

Austin (age 25) was not only a type 1 diabetic, but he also had a drinking problem.

Kirt (age 25) had a blood sugar reading of 1200. Normal is below 100. His doctor told him, “You should be dead.”

Bill (age 58 ) was seeing a cardiologist and had neuropathy. He could not feel his feet.

Michelle (age 36) was quite obese.

Henry (age 58 ) took insulin plus 9 pills daily. Blood sugar was at 464.

Pam (62) was quite obese. Her father, brother and sister are also diabetic.

The method for reversing diabetes for Gabriel was focused strictly on the diet of the test subjects. Gabriel believes in taking a mainly raw approach to eating and consuming a plant based diet. His team prepared raw, well-balanced and whole meals for the test subjects throughout the 30 day period. The food became their medicine. All of the subjects took their medication as needed, under professional medical supervision, and ate the food that is provided to them by Gabriel and his team at the Tree Of Life Rejuvenation Center.
So what happened?

Kirt, Bill, and Henry were able to stop taking insulin and other related medications as their blood sugar levels had already reached normal levels in just 3 days of changing their diets. Pam was able cut her insulin intake by a third. Austin was able to cut his insulin intake in half. Michelle saw her blood sugar levels remaining high, and although she wanted to quit the program, she stuck with it.
By the 12th day, Henry’s blood sugar had dropped 256 points despite the fact that he was not taking any medications to lower his blood sugar. Although Henry was seeing incredible results, he felt he was too old for the program, and on the 17th day his family picked him up. At that point he no longer needed 17 medications, had lost 30 pounds, and had lowered blood pressure.

The overall results across the 30 days were incredible:

Kirt no longer needed medications. His blood sugar had dropped 214 points to as low as 73 (normal) without medication. It was later found out he was type 1 diabetic since the beginning. Status: Within normal range.

Bill stopped taking 19 medications and lost 32 pounds. His blood sugar dropped 214 points to 74 (normal) without medication or insulin. Status: Within normal range.

Michelle stopped taking all of her medications and lost 23 pounds. Her blood sugar dropped from 291 to 109 without the use of medication. Status: Within normal range.

Pam lost 26 pounds while her blood sugar dropped 167 points down to 112 without medication. Status: Within normal range.

Austin, who is type 1 diabetic, lost 20 pounds and reduced his insulin from 70 units down to 5. Status: Drastic improvement in diabetic condition.

All participants had drastic turn-arounds in their health and all had their diabetes either completely reversed or severely under control. A type 1 diabetic (Kirt) had his diabetes completely cured -something that is considered impossible. All type 2 diabetics no longer needed insulin.

This is another study that proves to us that modern mainstream medicine doesn’t always have all of the answers. Too often we are content treating a disease and not curing it. I’m not saying that mainstream medicine is wrong, but I am saying that there are alternatives out there that deserve to be looked in to. Keep in Mind, even the American Diabetes Association makes claims about there being no cures for diabetes. This study shows otherwise.

Of course main stream medicine says diabetes cannot be cured, they would loose a lot of money. Have you ever thought how much profit the drug companies make treating all those diabetes, this also includes cancer and many other diseases.

He lost 30# in two and half weeks?

A safe rate of losing weight is 2#/week-anything else has all kinds of risk.

Also there's no exercise component mentioned anywhere did these people just watch TV all day?

I have type two and through diet I have stabilized my blood sugar levels and have maintained
the same rate now for five years. The only real cheating I do is I sometimes have ice cream
diet is the answer to keeping this problem in check.

There is no cure for diabetes (yet), those who choose a more healthy lifestyle, exercise and diet, simply keep diabetes under control without meds. The moment they fall off the wagon, they are right back where they started from.

Depends on the type of diabetes. Type 2 can be managed and is preventable.

some people get managed confused with cured. Just because you don't need meds for it does not mean you are cured.

This brings up another situation that I find rather intolerable. Almost daily I get a piece of spam (I'd guess you'd call it) on matters pertaining to improving health, in miraculous ways. Generally a "doctor" telling you 3 or 5 or 10 ways to do it. If they'd just list the ways fine, but they don't, they just go on and on and on with senseless chatter. I never have listened to the end as after 15 minutes I get fed up. Shouldn't this sh*t be outlawed?
