Shrinking ice, rising sea levels and fierce storms are transforming Canada��s Magdalen Islands, where temperatures have warmed twice the global average since the late 19th century. Residents are fighting an escalating battle against erosion and flooding �� trying to fend off the sea in some places and retreat from it in others.

U.S. will withdraw from Paris climate agreement, Trump administration says on first day it can give official notice

President Trump has repeatedly criticized the 2015 international accord, in which world leaders vowed to collectively cut carbon emissions to combat climate change. The notice to the United Nations from the administration means that the White House can officially withdraw from the Paris agreement in one year, a move that would leave the United States as the only nation not backing the deal.

Goodness knows the tax cut did not create the growth that was promised
