Thanks, but don't think I keep all this stuff in my head. I knew enough to know the categories of subatomic particles weren't correct, but I had to look up the details. With Google and a little time, it's easy to appear omniscient.

I understand,
The interesting element I appreciate and many others here I am sure do as well, is your knowledge on the subject of physics and science.

Also the desire to research and become more familiar with the complex subject of the scientific world and share your researched understanding.

A world many humans find pointless to explore yet they have legitimate questions about how and why we are here.

I wonder if any of those planets are flat?

Well if you look at the construction of most planets is gravity. Because there is limited space and some gases are too light, it forms as a sphere. If Jupiter for example had no gravity it would not be a planet as the gas would be spread out in the universe. However, with newton law in place some planets aren't perfecly round, even our earth has this. It all depends on mass, sizes, speed of rotation and its gravity pull.

If someone can stay n space for 6 months/Why not 8?

If we had New shuttles. we could go 2 mars ,like now!

How long before we go to mars?..Now That would be Universally Exciting!...

What would we do there.?.Possibilities are endless!!!

Just ask Socrates the greek..

Paradox of the heap?

If someone can drink 6 bottles of beer, why not 8? Then, why not 10...

I don't know if Mars itself is as interesting as going to Mars. There are genuine issues involved getting there.

Great day to you Green Fish66,
interesting thought about Mars human habitation, it looks like Mars will be used by mankind for space colonization in the next 5 to 10 years, NASSA already has experimental stations on wheels surveying the mars surface and soon men will be working on the surface of Mars.

I like the idea of space truism where your holiday in space will be to mars and back. Or work on Mars for 6 months and come back to earth for 6 months as we have cosmonauts on the International Space station. Interesting world...........

Thanks for that Socrates , Very interesting...Lets hope new shuttles are in the near future..Lots of talk about it..

Niflmir..Yes there are always issues gettin anywhere..:)....But the science is there..People have been planning a mars trip for years..Alot of the technology that would be needed to colonize mars is being used here or tested...

The best Dream(4 me) would be to travel the stars , visit other worlds , explore planets...And still be able to come home to mother earth, and the human family for a good meal..Some clean water.(as opposed to filtered P water...lol)

Sorry , the 8 month bit was in reference to how long it takes to get there..

Green/clean tech is the best way to get there from here..:)

Oh damn.. batteries are dying on my laptop ..Gotta go..

Over and out there from here...

Yeah, the science is there, but there is the issue of the money, which is politics. Then there is the issue of building it, testing it, and carrying it through without problem.

All this to put colonies on a desert rock planet, it is a hard sell for all but the dreamers. Of course, I am all for it.

Another cancellation of the shuttle eh?...How much for one of those new rockets?...Wish a few big investors would put thier money into a few of those new shuttles...Would be a great benefit to science and us all ...

Just one or two is all I ask for.!

Great day to you Green Fish66, I know it makes me nervous like hell; I live it to fate and hope for the best.

It is fact that the days of the Shuttle technology is quickly ending as new methods are considered to replace the old with a new more advance for safety quicker and cost efficient.

I wish some of that stimulus would go into ensuring a long prosperous/meaningful/purposeful life/existence...

Stimulus was suppose to go to help build/ ensure work in the future..If anyone knows the future it's the space scientists.lol...

That's not bad!..In the name of science ..Bulky but cool..

Just curious ..are there any other options.? I'd look but my batteries gonna die any time now...

Any greener/Clean tech...Options..?.(4 my green/clean tech thread)

If you have time..I'll check later if not..

What is/was/and will be

Probably already know about this link socrates the greek, if not check it out..Is cool stuff..

Extremely Efficient Nuclear Fuel Could Take Man To Mars In Just Two Weeks

When it comes to space travel ..Scientists are always looking for the lightest, most efficient, Clean tech vehicles to get us "out there" from here...

I am aware most of the future of space travel will be done by our machines.

It is in the human races best interest to find ways to live more effeciently /sustainably if we hope to create the best possible future for our children...Gotta have faith...I do...especially when I see what is possible in science..

People say why would any one want to go to mars or the moon ?...

All the science it takes to get us to the moon and beyond, is most beneficial ,first here, on planet eart...from recycling water to energy efficientcy ..Science is on the job...

Like I said before ..The best possible future(dream), in my mind ..would be to travel through out space..visiting other worlds/planets..exploring the universe. Still being able to have a home planet to go back to..If you couldn't go back ,just knowing it's there would give comfort...

Green/clean technology

Mother earth is ready to let her children go explore/populate the universe..Our Astonauts are working hard to make the dream a reality.

.Who wants to go first?.

Religion = past/what was/history of ITt.

Politics = present/what is/the system of ITt.

Science = the future/ what will be/ in mind of ITt

Contraversial?

Of course...
