Chairman Meow (aka Anus of Green Gables) tends to think it's fine for "climate scientists" to knowingly **** up and publish false data that impacts the lives of billions of people.

Cute name, but I do not think it's fine. That's a plain lie. A sure sign of someone over their head when they need to misrepresent their opponents.

It's a lie? The other day it was "human error". In resources a human error will land you in the hoosegow and you are discredited forever and ever amen but in "climate science" you can publish unreviewed magazine comments as fact and get away with it.

The scientist behind the bogus claim in a Nobel Prize-winning UN report that
Himalayan glaciers will have melted by 2035 last night admitted it was included
purely to put political pressure on world leaders.

Dr Murari Lal also said he was well aware the statement, in the 2007 report
by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), did not rest on
peer-reviewed scientific research.

In an interview with The Mail on Sunday, Dr Lal, the co-ordinating lead
author of the report’s chapter on Asia, said: ‘It related to several countries
in this region and their water sources. We thought that if we can highlight it,
it will impact policy-makers and politicians and encourage them to take some
concrete action.

‘It had importance for the region, so we thought we should put it in.’

Maybe you should educate yourself on the peer review process before you blow any more smoke.

Here's a nice 45 min. podcast with a prominent evolutionary biologist, who's also been an editor and peer reviewer. Get some edumacation - hopefully you learn something.

I don't think it counts as a lie if you have your fingers crossed during peer review.

... One of those sneaky little exemptions

Read above (or below) and tell me I'm full of **** about false info being published as fact.

Just in case you missed it....

He is lieing about lieing?

Too goddamn easy.

MEMO TO MEDIA: Please start doing some damn journalism — like placing a simple phone call to a primary source. A great many “newspapers” like the Daily Mail are no more reliable than the websites of the anti-science disinformers, like the thoroughly discredited ClimateDepot of Marc Morano.

In an exclusive interview — “exclusive” in the sense that many of the people smearing Dr. Murari Lal haven’t bothered to ask him whether the original story was accurate — Dr. Lal asserts that the “most vilest allegations” in the Daily Mail story are utterly false.
UN scientist refutes Daily Mail claim he said Himalayan glacier error was politically motivated

What's next, you're going to quote Op Ed's from The Sun on climate change now?

It took me 3 seconds to completely discredit your FUD. Do some ****ing homework and check your sources before you lecture people about the peer review process.

I never said you were full of $hit either. I said it was a failure of IPCC quality control. That doesn't mean I'm fine with it, and it doesn't mean I think you're full of $hit.

You have comprehension problems. Don't throw another hissy fit now...

It's discredited is it? So who went to the hoosegow for allowing false data to be published or is there a double standard?

Yes. And so is your claim about the peer review process.
Really? By who?

Something I want explained in detail by the "usual assholes", how can the same man pushing oil sands developement for Canada in China be of the grandfather's of and most influential people in the Green Bohevism movement and nobody notice?

The Honorable Charles Bolden, Jr.
NASA Administrator
NASA Headquarters
Washington, D.C. 20546-0001
Dear Charlie,

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that NASA and the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) refrain from including unproven remarks in public releases and websites. We believe the claims by NASA and GISS, that man-made carbon dioxide is having a catastrophic impact on global climate change are not substantiated, especially when considering thousands of years of empirical data. With hundreds of well-known climate scientists and tens of thousands of other scientists publicly declaring their disbelief in the catastrophic forecasts, coming particularly from the GISS leadership, it is clear that the science is NOT settled.
The unbridled advocacy of CO2 being the major cause of climate change is unbecoming of NASA’s history of making an objective assessment of all available scientific data prior to making decisions or public statements.

As former NASA employees, we feel that NASA’s advocacy of an extreme position, prior to a thorough study of the possible overwhelming impact of natural climate drivers is inappropriate. We request that NASA refrain from including unproven and unsupported remarks in its future releases and websites on this subject. At risk is damage to the exemplary reputation of NASA, NASA’s current or former scientists and employees, and even the reputation of science itself.
For additional information regarding the science behind our concern, we recommend that you contact Harrison Schmitt or Walter Cunningham, or others they can recommend to you.
Thank you for considering this request.
Sincerely,
(Attached signatures)

CC: Ass Mr. Chris Scolese, Director, Goddard Space Flight Center
