Boston might be a "one song band" for awhile! They are slowly going down the drain!

I think its nonsense to make the KKK claim, that can happen in fact it has in our family.
One of our daughters has three children, Kyle, Kordell and Katie, does that make her
a fascist or a sympathizer with the KKK?
Dave Hodge should know better than to make sensational mileage out of such a claim.
Tim Thomas is a nasty piece of work or worse he is a rich ignorant person who has no
class. Even if you don't like the guy his is the President and he is acknowledging the
team effort put forward. One may not like the person but that is no reason to insult the
Office of President of the United States.
I was an official at the Provincial level in the Tree Fruit Industry and there were some in
Government I could not stand, but my duties and the constitution of impartiality dictated
that I respect the office of those personally I did not like. It is called manners and dedicate
and if you can't see past that a person has growing up to do.

the K K K thing, i'm sure in canada would be accidental, but I can't see it being accidental in the
u.s., as they are much too close to the original problem with the KKK to 'not' see the connection.
And, if they didn't see the connection, well, da.

Yes, I thoroughly agree with your last paragraph, he should have been in the white house with his
team, sucked it up, irrespective of personal thoughts, and noticed how happy the rest of his team
was during the ceremony/visit, and shared in their happiness, without putting himself 'first'.
Very selfish.

What is really baffling is why a hockey goalie (of questionable quality) ...

LOL...the only people questioning his quality are those that don't understand the save percentage record, the Vezina Trophy, the Conn Smythe Trophy or the Stanley Cup.

Kiley, Kelsey and Keegan.

More than anything to do with a bunch of red neck racists. They are all fine Irish names. That they all have the same first
letter is meaningless.

What is really baffling is why a hockey goalie (of questionable quality) opinion of politics would be of interest to anybody beats me. He had his "15 minutes of fame" already. (About 14 minutes too much) Anyway Sedins and company dispelled any myths about Thomas a couple of Saturdays ago.
Crappy goalies don't win the Stanley Cup as Thomas did.

thomas is using this free air time, and again putting the me me me ahead of the team, to strut his
political agenda, at the expense of his team, which includes owners/management/players. I'm sure
when he signed his contract to make the good money he makes, there was not a clause there to allow
him to use 'them' to further his political ideas.

I have noticed, (and i'm sure all of his fellow players have political opinions) that none of his
teammates have lined up behind him to get their 'free airtime' to spout their politcal stuff all over
the place.

His time on the bruins is running out quickly, and i'm sure he has disrupted the 'chemistry in the room',
and have many wondering about him as a team mate.

He is not playing tonight, and the back up goalie hasn't played that great of late, but all the same,
he is playing tonight.

Thomas could be doing all he wants to do politically, away from the team, at
meetings, or any political gatherings, but he chooses to tweet away, knowing
how that affects his job/team. He isn't playing hockey on a voluntary basis,
i've noticed, so he should respect his employer and team mates, and put them
all before 'his' political agenda.

The guys on The Team were talking about this again today, talloola and made a good point about Timmy's FB page. He could easily use his privacy settings to limit the viewing of his remarks to his 'friends' only and not the general public as now the case. One does have to wonder why he would chose the latter over the former if he did not have ulterior motives - just a thought.

"Whatever that (Timmy's latest political message on FB) means to you, you still have to ask – why complicate your every day life as a hockey player?

If it’s because these are messages he wants to get out there and he’s passionate about politics, okay, fine. That can be who you are and we’ll respect that…but then you have to actually talk about politics and religion, and get the message out there.

This Facebook poli-bombing is going to drive me crazy if he doesn’t stand and speak up for what he believes. You’re either behind the message or you’re not.

Something about it reminds me of a person who’d post “I had the craziest day today,” to get people to ask them about it…then not tell them. If you want attention, stuff like this will do the trick.

If Tim Thomas wants to talk politics and religion, it’s time he do so from out behind the keyboard too."

The chaos continues: Tim Thomas once again took to Facebook to get political | Backhand Shelf | Blogs | theScore.com

Not that he did any better than Tuukka Rask who led off the net-minding tonight but was pulled after Buffalo got 3 on him. The much-vaunted Timmy faired no better letting in another 3 to give the Sabres a 6 - zip win and a shut-out for Ryan Miller.

thats right, he is identified as exactly who he is, the boston bruin player, but insists this is his
private business, can't have it both ways, and you're right, he should make a big effort to separate the
two, and he isn't.
He has some dumb idea that he can be left alone with these remarks, and not be bothered by anyone, and media, rather dumb,
and rather dishonest, he knows exactly what is going on, and is pretending he doesn't.

He is still embarrassing his bosses, coaches, and team mates.

It's not meaningless. It just doesn't mean what someone's trying to imply it means. ive seen two family's like that, and I chose a K name for my daughter in keeping with my sister's and my k names. Do we form the KKK?

I just wish he would either shut-up about politics or stand up for what he purports to believe in as this getting upset with the media after he knows he has drawn attention to himself once again, is childish in the extreme and unworthy of the Tim Thomas of hockey fame. He once had my admiration, not anymore no matter how good he can be in the net - which isn't all that great lately anyway. Put up or shut up, Timmy.

Yeah, but he missed the most important one - The Presidents Trophy (for best team in 82 games besting 29 opponents)

To be honest, I would rather have the Stanley Cup than the Presidents Trophy. After all, the Stanley Cup is the reason they play the game.
