Team Canada now 6 and 0 after a nice win over Germany today. Kevin's draw weight is now in the 80 - 90% range - so much better than the lows of 58 earlier in the event. Boys are lookin' good.

Sweden blanked the first two ends and still with the hammer in the 3rd gave up a steal of 1 to Team Canada.

Sweden forced to 1 in the 4th.

The guys are doing a fair job of frustrating Nicolas. So far they are more than holding their own - the steal and the force were great. Team Canada has the hammer for the first time in the 5th

Some brushing errors have hurt them. Can't give the Swedes more chances than they need.

Congratulations to Sweden on winning the Gold Medal - this is their 4th win and ties them with Ernie Richardson for most wins in a WMCC. Team Canada will bring home the Silver. Good on Koe and Co for an exciting tournie and making it to the finals.

I will wonder for a bit what might have been had it not been for that broken handle.

The season began last night in Leduc.

I caught the Koe win over Jacobs. Some nice heated ends to get the winter going.

[FONT=&quot]Almost a decade ago a young girl by the name of Lisa Weagle introduced a new and novel way of removing the opponents rocks from the centre line without taking them out which is against the 2-rock rule. She perfected the technique of taping the rock just enough to knock it off centre thus opening up the all-important path to the pin. The curling world embraced it and though many have been able to use the throw none so consistently executed as Lisa. And thus was "The Weagle" introduced to the game of curling making it even more entertaining, IMHO.

[FONT=&quot]Lisa, BTW is an original member of the Homan Team who have played together since their early teens.

Flueries team came into the final with a one-loss record in the round robin and was on fire last night when they eliminated the Carey team 10 - 5? but they have had their struggles today and Tracey herself has numbers in the sixties whereas she was in the high 80's yesterday. The Homan team have not been without errors. The difference being that they have been able to correct them very quickly with 2 to 3-rock takeouts decimating their opponents set-ups.

The hands came out from the Fluery team as the 9th came to an end with Homan's team leading 9 - 4. Well done my ladies - you played like the true champions.

YEE HAW TEAM HOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOMEN'S CANADA CUP CHAMPIONS!

Will be cheering for Epping's team tonight but won't put money on the outcome. LOL..........I'd never bet against Kevin Koe.

Epping Team leads 7 - 4 going into the 10th. Koe has the hammer in the 10th - needs 3 to tie and 4 for the win - even for him that's a tall order.

Team ON is on fire. Homan's crew lead 7 - 3 after stealing 3 points in the 5th end over Team Manitoba (Jennifer Jones crew). Rachel herself is nailing every shot including the ones that Russ keeps saying can't be made.
Go Team ON!
