Do you not think you would be quite angry with the militants hidding in and around your home.... LONG before any bomb goes off, I would have already done my best to remove them, or remove myself and my family.

But they didn't kill my kids and like I said no excuse would be good enough. I wouldn't sit down and assess my own faults, I will have lost my children to the violence of others and I would go to my grave to get justice for my children. I'm just telling you the way it is. If you think you can justify the actions that is your choice. It might make you feel warm and fuzzy inside but you've created more problems than you've solved.

Edit: to add, not everyone in this world has the chance to pick up and go or assess all of their decisions on a moral check list. Allowing an unscrupulous character in to rent or have my family broke living in the streets? What do you think happens in cases like that? We in North America have it easy compared to many in countries like that. People have to do what they have to do to put food on the table, and in the end that's all they want to do. Bomb them out, now you've got other things they might want to do.

Jews in Lebanon were being hunted and murdered by Hezbollah because they are Jews. They probably can't find any now, as there are only about 60 left.

Fifteen were murdered by Hezbollah in the mid-eighties.

I had a really good link from an impartial human rights organization on this before because I was interested in the numbers myself and for some reason I can’t seem to locate it.

Innocent people killed in the ongoing conflict between Israelis and Palestinians has been unfavourably disproportionate on the side of the Palestinians. It makes you wonder who really needs defending by the international community and it doesn't make you wonder why there is a real frustration present against the Israelis.

600 lebanese including 35 hezbollah militants according to hezbollah officials, 100 according to israelis officials, in total 500 to 575 civilians lebanese killed.

52 israelis killed, including 33 soldiers and 19 civilians according to israelis officials.

I don't have the exact statistics on israeli-palestinians conflict.

Unfortunatley according to the Main stream media, for some reason, each Arab death is worth at least 100 Israeli's lives.

I'm not sure we'll ever know how many Israelis have died becuse the MSM just doesnt deem "joo" death newsworthy.

Thanks Logic! Well, in my opinion then, Israel is the terrorist. Civilian deaths cannot be justified. Lebanon has made 19 grave mistakes and Israel has made over 500. Doesn't it seem reasonable to support those who make less mistakes?

When someone innocent is killed, it is a tragic thing. The one who did the killing, did something atrocious. In my opinion this should be upheld for anyone, regardless of religious beliefs, ideologies, nationalities, or other markers used to denote so-called race.

No, we don't know, and probably never will. Unless Israel stumbles across some figures in a captured Hospital, err...Hizbollah HQ, there will be nothing but speculation.

Hizboallah fighters become civilians as soon as they are killed.

I don't know if there is anyone that is in favour of the of maintaining the status quo in Gaza and the West Bank. It is a terrible tragedy that should end. It seems, however, that Palestinians are unwilling to be independent. Constantly attacking Israel from their current position of weakness in refugee camps makes no sense to me. If the palestinians had taken just one of the opportunities to have their own state the whole region would be better off.
If at some time in the future they decide they had gotten a raw deal they could renegotiate with their neighbors (Israel, Egypt etc.) or go to war- like civilised folk- as a sovereign nation.
Palestine as an independent state hasn't existed for a long time, if ever. Any independence possible is better than what they have now.
