Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

If that is the case...then that is good........but other areas have not yet. In fact this is the time to be extra careful.........to prevent a resurgence. Which would only prolong the self isolation and other measures. We cannot afford to become over confident.
Why doe it bother you so much , Walter??
The reason for the lockdown is no longer valid.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

The original reason for the lockdown was to avoid stressing the hospitals. The hospitals have not been stressed. End the lockdown.
the hospitals have not been stressed because of the lock downs. But that is not the only reason. Another objective is to prevent community spreading.

Can you imagine what it would have been like if none of the measures had been put in place?? Physical distancing is part of the measures.

I still think the people should have been required to wear masks......or some kind of face/nose covering...seeing as how this is a respiratory contagion.

No one is happy with the situation........but it seems to be bothering you more than average.

Many are finding alternate ways of working. We live in a high tech age. Many continue to work. It all depends on the work environment..

The community spread was not the original reason. It was the hospitals. The lockdown has worked in this regard but it is going to be time soon when we need to restore some sort of normalcy. An infinite lockdown will not work. The community spread was never a factor in the decision but was an add on after the lockdown happened to justify its continuation.

There is a gradual loosening of the measures in some areas where the virus seems to be under some control. The plan .....seems to be to do it gradually........which makes sense. Of course we need to get into a new form of normal ASAP..........that is a given.

The reason was still valid.

Zachary, so end the lockdown.
So why don't you tell that to the powers that be. ........particularly the medical community that is handling communicable diseases.

Venting your frustration on here.....is just that: venting.
