New Netherland (Dutch: Nieuw Nederland; Latin: Nova Belgica or Novum Belgium) was a 17th-century colony of the Dutch Republic that was located on the east coast of America. The claimed territories extended from the Delmarva Peninsula to southwestern Cape Cod, while the more limited settled areas are now part of New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Connecticut, with small outposts in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.

A couple colonies. Whoopdeedoo.

The first of the 13 colonies was Virginia, founded in 1607 by the London Company. It was then admitted into the Union in 1788.

So without the British Empire, there would be no USA.

You lose.

Without the USA there would be no Britain unless you can convince me you had the Germans on the ropes.

I would argue, accurately, the Germans had no hope of invading Britain by the end of 1940, long before the Americans were caught by surprise two years into a global war.

You were doomed had it not been for American intervention and also heavily supplied by them prior to them declaring war.

You thank Canada too while you're at it.

Also don't forget the massive amounts of money the Yanks loaned (57billion) you to rebuild after you had the snot bombed out of you.

Did you ever pay it back btw?

Anzac Day NZ
I just came back from the ANZAC Day celebrations.
As we are in lockdown, people cannot assemble in groups, so, people were asked to stand at the end of the driveway and do a minute silence at 6 am.
I did a Catch 22 Yossarian so I stood in the nude period I did this to protest against the use of fossil fuels, to support my government's decision not to allow a military flyover.
Lest we forget.

No, that's 100% inaccurate.
Who founded the Thirteen Colonies?

By the time of the revolution, very few in the 13 colonies had any allegiance to england. If they had, the revolution would never have happened.

The different colonies were founded for different reasons and under different circumstances.

Deflection is all you have.
Btw, prepare for the “I was just joking” defence from Trump. Then you’ll have to change your defence. You crack me up.

Ha....he's doing it...."I was being sarcastic" he says....and totally walking back his idiotic comments from yesterday.

Called it...

Well the number of people who swore allegiance to Britain during the American Revolution has no bearing whatsoever on the foundation of the United States - it was still founded by the British Empire - but, even though it doesn't matter, around 20% of the colonists were Loyalists during the American Revolution.
