As I've mentioned elsewhere its death rate is hard to decipher and is not known for certain. It could be far lower than the 4.5% you mention.
You have to remember that many countries are recording people as having died of coronavirus even though they didn't - they had coronavirus in them but it was something else which killed them.
Many countries are also only mainly recording coronavirus deaths in care homes for the elderly. As the elderly are more vulnerable to dying from the disease then that will also artificially inflate the death rate.
When you take a look at that cruise ship where deaths occurred, however, the death rate was recorded as only 1%.
So it's quite wrong - and again just scaremongering - to state that the death toll from coronavirus is 4.5%. The chances are it's far lower than that.
