Well I know that the devolved Scottish government is putting "may have died of coronavirus" amongst it and, therefore, Britain's, death figures.

I know that almost every country in the world is including people who died WITH coronavirus but not OF it amongst the death figures.

They don't do that with the flu.

According to a Feb. 21 CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, the current influenza vaccine has been 45% effective overall against 2019-2020 seasonal influenza A and B viruses. Specifically, the flu vaccine has been 50% effective against influenza B/Victoria viruses and 37% effective against influenza A(H1N1)pdm09.

Genetic mutations make it less effective.

A 40 to 60% overall effectiveness rate despite mutations is more than what we have for SARS- COV2 which currently sits at 0% with a much higher rate of transmission. With a large potential to overwhelm hospitals which was and is the whole point of the measures taken to reduce infection.

I was beside my brain dead mother holding her hand when she took her last breath.

I wouldn’t be worried about contracting the virus but would worry about giving it to other people’s loved ones having to endure what I did because of my selfishness and my dear old Mom would have agreed.

How would I expose patients to a virus I do not have ? We have had a total of 155 deaths in British Columbia due to this outbreak . Most of those were in senior care facilities spread by health care . We killed our economy for virtually nothing .
