Once again, proving you are an idiot.

The United States has a murder rate significantly less than the world average. There are 103 nations in the world with worse murder rates.

Obviously the presence of hundreds of millions of guns, by far the most per capita of any nation on earth, is not driving murder rates up much, if at all.

The "gun murder" stat is only used by progressive idiots with an anti-liberty agenda.

Unless of course you think the murdered are somehow more dead if shot than if stabbed to death, bludgeoned to death, burned to death, beaten to death etc etc etc.

Utter nonsense - more guns has equaled more murders in every nation where the number of firearms available to the public has increased. And comparing the USA to disfunctional poverty stricken developing nations is ridiculous. The proper comparison for a nation declaring itself to be the greatest democracy on earth is another advanced democracy. And just in case you are thinking of using Finland and Switzerland as examples please note that both those nations have a higher rate of gun deaths than Canada.

Now show us the data that proves your theory. Insert 'responsible family man' for 'drunken outlaw'.

You are absolutely incapable of dealing with me, aren't you? Smiling.

You make my whole day.

My advice?

Grow a brain, get an education, try again.

Empty ad hominem.

Feels good man. :)

This is unmitigated bullshit.

Once again, you use "gun death" figures, which is ludicrous.

Obviously, if you are setting out to prove that access to guns increases the number of murders, then you have to show that by referencing murder rates.

Of course, if I want to kill someone, and in my closet I have a baseball bat, a .357 Magnum, a length of piano wire, a bottle of naptha and a box of matches, a key to a U-Haul truck, a butcher knife, and a large rock, I will probably use the .357. However, if that is removed from the equation, any of the other items will serve the purpose quite well. And the use of gun death stats is simply an attempt to ignore the fact that guns don't kill, people kill.......with whatever weapon is at hand.

BTW, Switzerland has one of the lowest murder rates on earth, at 0.69 per 100,000. Canada, for reference, has a rate of 1.68 per 100,000, 2 1/2 times the Swiss rate. Switzerland has rational gun control. Canada does not.

As for this horseshyte, And comparing the USA to disfunctional poverty stricken developing nations is ridiculous, allow me to quote Tecumsehsbones:

A whopping $2.8 billion in hospital charges eh? Try smoking. Smoking kills almost half a million Americans every year. The economic cost of smoking in the US is over $300 billion/yr with nearly $170 billion in direct medical care for adults and more than $156 billion in lost productivity. All while state and federal govts get a piece of the action.
Oh, and of those nearly half a million smoking related deaths every year, almost 10% of the cases are the result of second-hand smoke.
Think about that for a second. Approximately 41,000 people die every year in the US because of someone else's smoking. That's 30,000 more people than who die at the hand of someone with a gun. But yeah, guns are the only problem that needs this much attention.

The part that you're missing is that you weren't talking about 'open carry', you were saying 'give everyone a gun'.

You really have no idea what you say.
Yet you seem to be able to and you don't have that sort of ability, ask Twila if you need verification that my 'talents' are way above what you are attempting to also do.
Do you see the words 'with the trigger tied to the firing position' in my post? Concealed carry would do the same thing as you would have to assume most people would have one and would kill you with a few shots should you pull yours and start threatening people.
You ability to criticize my posts has always been on the low side of using intelligent replies, going lower isn't going to make you look smarter.
Being too lazy to do a quick search really help me point out how stupid your replies are. The solution to that is in that same line so it is up to you to take advantage of that advice. (that alone will stop you, lol)

You do know that cancer cures are available that are pretty much at a cost to the patient that equals about $2/month. Smoking causes fluid in the lungs that is not unlike the other major killer of people in the most advanced country in the world. Pneumonia is a huge killer in North America that is deemed to be incurable, yet it can be cured at home using some very common products that against cost pennies per cure over billions and billions that still doesn't work most of the time.

Look how easy it is.

I wouldn't use borax the way this person suggest but I have used it other ways and it has help my breathing by putting a solution in the same way the peroxide is used in the vid. Knock it all you want, show it do somebody who has 'incurable pneumonia'

When it comes to guns the only bullshit is everything you post. Again and again we have a repeat of this horror show in the US. It is so bad that even when tiny Norway had that horrendous slaughter a few years ago is still had a lower per capita rate of murders than the US. And to justify your obsession with firearms you carefully cherry pick statistics, desperately hoping that somehow you might convince someone that gun ownership has nothing to do with gun slaughter. Unfortunately, that sort of bullshit only fools people who are as deluded about firearms as you are. Be happy living in your firearm filled dreamworld, Colpy, but mot people are not buying your pro-gun nonsense.
