Conflict and climate change lead to a rise in global hunger

Last year about 11 per cent of the total human population (approximately 850 million people on the planet) suffered from daily hunger, according to a recent United Nations report on the state of food security and nutrition in the world.

This is a tragedy no matter how you look at it. The numbers show a 4.5 per cent increase — or 38 million more hungry people — from the previous year. This rise in hunger is especially significant because it is the first rise in global hunger we have seen in more than a decade.

Though global hunger was at 14 per cent of the world’s population in 2005, each year since then, between 2005 and 2016, the number of hungry people on the planet dropped. Development officials were cautiously optimistic that we were on our way to eradicating hunger.

Conflict and climate change are the culprits behind this year’s rise in numbers.

According to the United Nations, food security worsened across major parts of sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia and Western Asia. For instance, South Sudan is mired in conflict and experienced a major famine earlier this year.

Bullshit thread title as usual from the bullshit artist. The only reason for any widespread hunger in the world is politics.

It's nothing compared to what the ultimate goals of the AGW Cult are all about. That's about a depopulated world in an eco utopia. It's humans that are the invasive pestilence on the earth.

The priesthood of this cult are well aware that AGW is a fabric of lies. That human activity produces a fraction of the trace amounts of carbon in the atmosphere. They know carbon is in constant natural circulation from oceans, landmass and atmosphere. They know climate is the most complex system on earth, influenced by thousands of factors, but that its engine is now and will always be, solar radiation.

But this is a death cult, ideologically committed to ridding the planet of the human infestation. The remedies for AGW will hit directly at all technologies that support the human species in industry or agriculture. That's why carbon was chosen. It is an element essential to both. Look under the 'green' agenda and you find dark and malevolent roots.

That is the oldest method of causing death in the millions. Apparently the early stages of hunger is when the kill you neighbor for a sandwich become reasonable as far as staying alive.

One vid about a family ditch California after a huge disaster did a decent job of describing how hunger kills. At a certain point people become docile and just sit and wait to die. I do not find it easy to accept that somebody was taking notes to gain that information rather than it is a figment of the imagination??

It would behoove the authors of this diatribe to take into consideration that many of the countries mentioned also have the highest birth rates in the world.

That was really convincing.

I am convinced.

Yes, poverty is tied to birth rates.

That's how baby boomers crippled the US.

You're finally getting it.

If you wish I can explain how global air pressure systems work. They are the cause of all weather and climate, and if you change anything in one of them you change everything weather and climate related everywhere. If you want to educate yourself you could read this for a start. WEB-LAB Module 4

Gee whiz that's awesome. Does nothing to explain 2017s crop losses from cold both north and south of the Equator.

Polar vortex says hello.

Also

Subsidies.
Polar vortex says, "You're a moron". The Polar vortex is directly affected by volcanic activity. It was first demonstrated in the '50s and definitively proven in the '70s.
Yep, that's quite the "convincing" argument you have there. Are you trying to convince others or just yourself?
