Well you know with da rains important, the critters look for handouts, right now I am talking to tuffy chatterbot, a really kewl squrriel. What that tuffy?? ah! yes I could not agree with you more, tuffy says, humans are dangerous superpredators, and global economy is a doomsday machine....squrriel world domination will end all that, but lets not talk politics....can I have one of those pecans??

Since its raining, tuffy will take questions, pass them on to me and I will pass them on to tuffy.

I was in Victoria yesterday.

My wife had to get some documents from the Archives for her geneology work. We walked from the Days Inn to Swans and it was a little chilly. A hot plate of Shepherd's pie and a pint of Guinness fixed that up. We left early because the day before, it was really foggy on the Malahat. There was no fog on the way back but it poured down rain all the way home. Still, we enjoyed the trip and look forward to the next one.

Sea to Sky reporting in:

brisk, but sunny.........( that winter sun) Snow level on the mountains coming down.... so the tops are glistening white.

(still not the normal for late November. Should have been raining continuously by now, yet hardly any rain..... Weird. :? )

It is now twenty five to six by my time and we have at least a couple inches in our front yard. The trees are carrying a heavier load that will probably bring down some branches if we get more today. Oh well, we had to get snow sometime....

Y'all just keep that white stuff to yourselves! Here in James Bay it's rainy, but so far none of that "s" word. I was out for a walk yesterday and almost froze my butt off ... definitely time to start wearing a coat!!

Suet is good for birds in the winter, it gives them some special fat that they need to keep warm. I remember collecting pine cones, mixing suet, peanut butter and black oil seeds and smooshing it in the pinecones. The birds devoured them.

I wonder what the colt will think of this white stuff? Better stand back a little further today just in case he gets a little excited. I love watching animals experience new stuff, they are soo cute and curious.
