Especially the jibbering slobbering old fools who post here.

Is that the Gulf or the Straight of Georgia ?

I looked at the schedule. It looks like a pub crawl. Is there any wind inshore along that coast. I know that it blows like stink on the seaward side of Vancouver Island but in the protected inshore, it's "putt-putt-putt" like my lousy golfing. The little bit of sailing that I have done on the West Coast didn't involve much wind at all.

If you want a sobering experience, sail off of the Atlantic side of Nova Scotia. I expect that off of Port Alberni would be similar.
Port Alberniis inland .

Port Alberniis inland .
That should read Port Alberti is inland .

Port Alberni is at the top of a long inlet but when you sail out of it, you are exposed to the open Pacific that goes straight across to Asia, leeward to the prevailing wind that fetches all the way from Japan and naked, man. The gentle, inland, coastal fjords of BC is where you would rather be.

So you admit your mistake and realize Uclulet or Torino fit better as examples .

I think CC is right about Pt. Alberni. Ucleuet and Tofino are outside waters so the swells are longer apart. Alberni being 40 miles from open water has shorter, stacked waves and can have some vicious winds. I would much rather have 40 ft swells on the open water than 4 ft waves in the inlets.

You don't want to be on a lee shore of any kind, if you can avoid it. They are generally covered in wrecks and bones.

I admit that you are a flaming asshole that doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.
But at leastI know where Port Alberni is .You on the other hand continually prove almost hourly that you know nothing .

You know, based on your last two posts it is starkly evident to me that you have no idea what so ever what we are discussing ... clueless Junior. Try and think it through, if you're not too slow.

Port Alberni is the coldest place on the island in winter the hottest in summer.

It also smells like Hinton.

If you're off to Hinton, let me know... I will suggest a totally smokin', kick-ass route through the backroads of the mountains that you will remember for a lifetime.

4X4 not necessary, but a good strong suspension is strongly recommended

Obviously a GCR induced disease related to cholera. 4 thousand Americans die each week this Flue season with the unflue, google it

We need GCR vaccines, fuk the Flu sniffles

When the sun spots go quiet we get hard GCR radiation and it fuks us up, and now you understand the utility of caves

They are not as hard to come by as you might imagine, you are but fifteen dollars away frum any hardware store purchased insturment, dig in or cook on the hoof. Only partake of filtered sunlight or you won,t partake very long, look for skin damage first latter on the mind goes and a can opener becomes out of the question. Welcome to the Dark.
