Thanks to American mismanagement of their economy and constant Senate and Congress infighting America lost their opportunity for moon's domination. China will have a base on the moon under five years thanks to the all the people that leaked all the top secret government documents.

From a security point of view the free world is f**ked.

Wasn't Pierre Trudeau caught in a rest area sucking off Chairman Mao?

Our investments in the companies that operate in China are better for our bottom line than having them operate here.
Basically stock dividends, how patriotic. Kill the economy that puts many out of work and tell them how much better off they are by being on welfare. What a black heart you have.

Are you enjoying the benefits of your 0.85% of a share in GM?

"Chinese spaceclaft rands on moon"

That's funny, as I can hear the accent when I read the thread title.

I know, I'm pissing myself here!

Ya right. You were still paying back the US for WWII when they went to the moon.

Try to use some news from the 21st century, Detroit is dead.
Why General Motors is moving offices from the world’s biggest auto market to one of the smallest – Quartz
Still, GM’s move to Singapore isn’t a retreat from China. This year, GM is on track to sell 3 million vehicles in China in 2013, up 7% from last year’s total, and is spending some $11 billion on new plants and products in China over the next three years. (GM’s office in Shanghai will still have about 250 staff, compared to 120 in Singapore.)
+

Nor is it a sign the relationship with SAIC in China will fade soon. As GM China’s chairman said in October, China isn’t likely to abolish its joint venture requirement for foreign firms soon. SAIC doesn’t appear ready to fly on its own either, given that it is still building up its own brands. (SAIC’s own brands, Roewe and MG, made up only 200,000 of the company’s 4.5 million cars sold last year.) At least on the mainland, the two car giants are going to need each other for a while.

Canada bought those shares in the 21st century. Were you not aware of that or are you not aware?

So how many new plants slated for Canada? Or is it Canadians investing in GM International?
You sure you are on the right page?
Canada Clips GM Stake, Sells 30 Million Shares - Forbes
The U.S. government has stated its intent to finish selling off its stake in General Motors GM -0.02% by early 2014, and now its Canadian counterpart seems to be taking a similar path.
The sale would be worth $1.1 billion at Tuesday’s closing price of $37.00, but Canada probably took a modest haircut in order to sell the 30 million shares in a single block to banks.
With its remaining stake the Canadian government remains the automaker’s third-largest shareholder, behind the 189 million shares still controlled by the U.S. Treasury Department and the 140 million shares held by a United Auto Workers trust for retiree medical benefits, according to FactSet. Those figures reflect a 30-million-share sale by Treasury in June, but not additional sales in July and August that were reported to Congress.
After Tuesday’s closing bell, the investment arm of Canada’s government sold 30 million shares of GM to BofA Merrill Lynch and RBC Capital Markets, who will quickly turn around and sell the stake to investors. The trade leaves the Canada GEN Investment Corporation with slightly more than 110 million GM shares and 16.1 million shares of preferred stock it received in return for contributing to the automaker’s 2009 bailout.
“As we said from the start, our investment in GM was always meant to be temporary as we worked to maximize the return to Canadian taxpayers,” Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said. “The Government of Canada is committed to exiting from ownership of GM as quickly as feasible…as we demonstrated today.”

$11B for China and Flint may get a $125M paint shop. lol
GM sets stage for 'significant manufacturing announcement' in Flint | MLive.com
Flint Assembly is hardly a new plant, but GM officials have talked about the need to build a new paint shop there for several years.
In October, the company applied for an industrial facilities tax exemption certificate filed with the city, saying it hoped to retain 135 jobs and add 15 more in the next two years as part of a $124.5 million construction project.
Plans call for an 850,000-square-foot paint shop with a projected construction start date of Jan. 1, 2014.
The exemption would allow General Motors to pay taxes based on 50 percent of the calculated true cash value of the potential new facility -- a 50 percent tax break -- and invest $124.5 million in return.
The company would also pay about $2 million in property taxes during the first year of the Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate.
A similar application was been granted in 2011 and set to expire at the end of next year.

It would seem a lot of the profits are from Canadian taxpayers, to the tune of there still being $6,993,000,000 held in shares, dump those quickly and GM would be toast, which it already was or it wouldn't heve needed taxpayer money.

lol, I don't have an argument for that post.

With the 30M shares (plus) sold and those remaining do you really think the citizens got their monies worth compared to the few coins your shares got you?
