Atheist here, who thinks religion is silly, but still saddened by Kirk's murder and supported his right to speak about his faith. His murder underlines the war on free speech today.
What Charlie was doing is what the professors at the Universities SHOULD be doing as well as challenge students for their POV's. Why do you think that? Where did you get your information from? How would you improve (whatever the situation)? He challenged students who disagreed with him, which is exactly what everyone should be doing, not just spewing "group think". He wasn't imposing his views; he was explaining them & then asking others who didn't agree to explain theirs.

That's what is so sad about his death. No discussions or debates are allowed anymore because it MIGHT hurt someone's feelings. Since when are we responsible for the "feelings" of others when debating?

I had no idea freedom of speech had been so limited in Canaduh!
It's been subtle & the U.S. is experiencing the same thing. I'm surprised you don't know that it's happening in your country as well. Mind you, I admit, we're not as bad as the U.K. where even "thoughts" are criminalized. But it's coming to Canada for sure & it'll be harder in the U.S. simply because you have a strong constitution. Our constitution isn't worth the paper it's written on.
