Last chance to back out, tuck your tail, and run. To be clear I am taking Montreal.

Nice and sunny in NW Ontario today and wish they would start the game a little earlier to take advantage of the warmth. Play drops off after the sun goes down imo. Smart thing to do is to build a dome and close the lid.

Hoping for a good game and that everyone has fun. $25,000 + to the players of the winning team I believe.
sorry

Over and done now and good for Saskatchewan and the Riders to be top dog in Canada for a change. Pressure will be on to repeat but should be good for season tickets sales for next season.

That said, Kabion Ento doesn't drop that ball if it's not 0 degrees and the ball isn't frozen like a hockey puck. The fumble, the calls, the phase of the moon are all sour grapes and history now though. Still the Riders are not that good although they did have a good second quarter controlling the ball for over 10 minutes and keeping Montreal's offense off the field.

Sask has no choice except to try and re-sign everyone.

More interesting times in TO where Dinwiddie jumped ship to go to the Redblacks. I favour Chris Jones as a replacement but haven't heard his name mentioned for a while. Would also like to see Jim Kelly as a QB coach as he appears to have a good relationship with his nephew and might help with his game.

Winnipeg sucks and only Mike O'Shea can turn a fourth place finish into a raise and a three year deal although Dinwiddie did the same.

Good thing the CFL tampering period window will soon be open where teams can speak to players from other teams before free agency begins Feb 10. Only 12 or so that have already signed with other teams. Good pickup for the Argos to get Pickett.

Lots of signings in the CFL with free agency looming Feb 10. Latest is Austin Mack going to Edmonton which will start another ripple effect.

Many good players available and all teams looking competitive at this time.

I'll say Calgary vs Toronto in the GC for now.

One out to lunch preview for the 2026 CFL season.

Personally hoping we don't hear the Riders referred to as defending Grey Cup Champs all season long. They were lucky and don't have the depth behind Trevor Harris to win if he goes down. The younger Rourke would be a great add for the future.

I see Edmonton doing better than predicted with lots of money spent across the board and a strong leader in Cody Fajardo. They will be in every game and I predict a top 3 in the west.

BC goes as far as Nathan Rourke takes them and easy to be happy for Buck Pierce should his QB stay healthy. The Doman ownership has been good for the franchise and city.

Hamilton should have signed William Stanback imo. Their window is closing quickly. Best wishes to Bo Levi for a good season and a shout out to their fans who are as good as any in the league.

Argos are underrated and will be good on both sides of the ball. Herslow, Coxie, Polk is an elite group.

Still liking Calgary as well. Depth behind Vernon Adams being a potentially big question and looking forward to seeing Reggie Begelton back on the field. Home field Grey Cup is the dream.
