No crossover guarantee. Argos beat BC and match them for the rest of the games, Argos would be 3rd.Now that BC and Wpg are tied, its a battle for crossover.
Makes up for the one they gave away in Edmonton week 11. What made this game close was the two turnovers on downs deep in the enemy territory.Yes. The Argos stole this one. They had no business winning it.Arbuckle was intercepted 5 times (1 overturned on roughing the passer). You have no right to win a game with that many turnovers. But Edmonton made a costly turnover of their own costing them the go ahead touchdown.
Without Arbuckle. Going to some no-name. Thought this would be a great chance to bring back Kelly.Makes up for the one they gave away in Edmonton week 11. What made this game close was the two turnovers on downs deep in the enemy territory.
Also liked seeing the passion from Doege when Harjullahu hit the winning field goal and no doubt there were plenty of smiles to go around after the game.
Bigger test this week with Montreal.
Argos are required to dress 3 QBs for the game so it seems chances are good Kelly suits up with lots of talk about him being good to go although not from the team. Great opportunity for Doege as well though if he can put a few plays together.Without Arbuckle. Going to some no-name. Thought this would be a great chance to bring back Kelly.
Kelly did not suit up. 3 no-names. Lots on the line for this game with playoffs in mind.
It wasn't glamorous although If not for the late interception Argos had them right where they wanted them setting up for another walk off. Defense played well is small consolation.Kelly did not suit up. 3 no-names. Offence struggled all night with only flashes of brilliance.
I think they were lucky. They had 1:40 and were down 5 with 3rd and 4 in Montreal territory. 9 times out of ten kicking the FG does not result in enough time for another possession. And this was the time but they couldn't get it done.It wasn't glamorous although If not for the late interception Argos had them right where they wanted them setting up for another walk off. With a shorter field It'll speed up the game to get more ads in the 3hrs alotted. The 35 second clock is probably a good move. Right now before the 20 second clock starts the game clock ticks down in most cases probably more than the 15 seconds. So I like that move.
The rouge changes are ok too. It is kind of unfair to reward failure.
I don't see why you need to shorten the field but if you move the goal posts back I guess the distance to go to get a FG is roughly the same. Also less of a drive required for a TD.
And let the opposition team roast in the sun on the opposite side of the field.
So I don't think the changes are the end of the world. I don't see what they gain by doing them though.
They are taking field position out of the game with the idea of starting every offensive series in or close to scoring territory. With a shorter field It'll speed up the game to get more ads in the 3hrs alotted.
If they did the grid in 100 metres it still be 110yds. They could have fooled the American investors they seek. They are taking field position out of the game with the idea of starting every offensive series in or close to scoring territory.
Your right about the 100 metres. Especially with all the global stuff they been ramming down our throats for the past few years. If they did the grid in 100 metres it still be 110yds. They could have fooled the American investors they seek.
