Considering that all the naysayers said that we wouldn't be able to move the ball against Winnipeg, it's kind of cool when we do.

Another cool headed play by Cody after another stupid call play by Maas. Followed by a really dumb play that loses us yards..........sigh

Toronto police have laid trespassing charges in the wake of Sunday’s altercation involving fans and two members of the Argos, who lost to the rival Hamilton Ticats in the CFL’s East final at BMO Field.

Mayhem often breaks out when the two teams hook up, an intensity not limited to the playing field.

Part of the incident was caught on video, which shows two men hopping over the barricade that leads to the Argos’ locker room before officers and security intervened.

The suspects then allegedly assaulted staff and police.

“This kind of incident is surprising to anyone,’’ said Argos GM Michael (Pinball) Clemons. “When you look at the passion, the energy inside the stadium, many times these things happen out of passion, they’re not out of intention or hurt.”

In a video tweeted by @6ixbuzztv, Argo players started brawling with fans after beer was allegedly spit on a player.

Video appeared to show veteran linebacker Chris Edwards taking a swing at a fan with rookie receiver Dejon Brissett shoving the fan before stadium security intervened.

It appeared the fan shoved Edwards first in the video.

According to police, additional charges could be laid at a later date and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

No players have been charged, police said.

In October, defensive back Treston Decoud was fined an undisclosed amount by the CFL for an altercation with fans at Tim Hortons Field following an Argos win.

“Any time there’s a negative experience between our players and fans it’s extremely disappointing,’’ said Clemons. “They are the people who support us, whether they’re at home or away. If they are not there we don’t have a game, we don’t have a league.”
