Getting into a fight with a six-foot-tall, 199-pound wide receiver is never a good idea.
Especially at an airport.
Calgary Stampeders player Brendan Langley has been charged and a United Airlines employee has been turfed after an alleged brawl that took place at Newark Liberty International Airport which was caught on video.
According to the New York Post, the alleged incident took place May 19 at 11 a.m. The viral video shows the unnamed employee shoving the 27-year-old Langley, who then responds with a flurry of punches.
The United Airlines worker then connects with a left-handed punch to Langley’s face.
“You saw that s—?” Langley tells someone before retaliating with a punch of his own, knocking the worker to the ground and bloodying him up in the process.
Appearing enraged, the airline employee then stands up and challenges the Stampeders player again.
“You want some more? He wants some more,” Langley shouts at someone off camera before having more words with the worker.
More airport employees then step in to break things up.
The Port Authority told CNN Langley was charged with simple assault and was released on his own recognizance. The news outlet also reported the Stampeders are aware of the alleged incident and are currently investigating.
A United Airlines spokesperson told TMZ that the employee involved in the alleged incident was fired.
In February, Langley was signed by the Stampeders as a free agent. He previously played in the NFL as a cornerback for the Denver Broncos.
