They are back to being the Als we know and earned the win. It would have been better if it was the Argos but alas it was the Tiger Cats.

Three minutes left in the BC vs Montreal game and Lulay has just made his way to the dressing room after having his leg squished while being tackled. More bad news for the Lions. They did manage to put 3 points on the board from a FG. Montreal has yet to score a point in the game.
The Lions seem to be managing quite well while Travis sits on the sidelines with a brace on his knee - apparently not to return - they've managed a TD and have held Montreal to only two FGs. 10 - 6 BC with just over 4 minutes left in the first half.
Mind you, Montreal is helping the Lions out mightily with all the yards they are giving them via big penalties. Yep, Lions just got another TD after Montreal took over 30 yards worth of penalties in one fell swoop. Sheesh.
Popp's players are falling apart. The Al's just had a 40+ yard punt return wiped out by a contacting the kicker penalty and BC gets the ball back.

I can understand Montreal's offense being a bit off considering they don't have Cato in pivot. For the life of me, I cannot understand what the heck happened to their defense. They're making Beck look like a seasoned pro out there. Uncharacteristically, Chip Cox one of their best defensive linebackers took 2-15 yard penalties alone tonight. Something is really off. Yet another TO by Montreal. BC's got this one going home.
Good game for the Lions considering what the loss of Travis might have meant to them but Beck stepped in and hardly missed a beat. Rock on Lions.
I would say that put paid to any outside chance that the Al's might possibly mount a comeback - their 7th TO of the game. Unbelievable.

Hamilton at Toronto this afternoon. I missed the Cats pulverizing of the Argos four days ago so was really looking forward to watching them play today..............until I found out that the Jays are playing their first game against the Yanks tonight after the rain-out yesterday. Darn it. Jays game started half an hour prior to this game so I got to see them have a fabulous first inning followed by a great inning for Price.
The Cats won the toss and opted to take the ball in the first quarter. They took the ball downfield to the Argos 30+ before Zach threw and interception to a TO defensemen around the 3 yard line. Couple of plays by the Argos and the Cats intercepted Harris - two plays later and they are on the board with a TD and the convert.

Argos second possession of the game and they are moving the ball well so far. They are at the Cat's 25 and just got another 1rst down. Hope they keep this up and make the game interesting or they will lose me to the Jays............sorry CFL. :lol:

A good portion of Torontonians are glued to their sets watching the Jays. That aside, the Argos have had a hard time getting fans out to the games. One game they had something like 10,000 and a bit - pitiful. Apparently, the Argos don't spend a lot of money on advertising and they have big competition with so many other major sports team in the city and area. I really feel for the team - it can't be easy playing in front of so few fans.

Milt figures the Argos have to 'discontinue' the penalties. I can imagine the air was purple in the Argo's locker room at half-time - I can't remember when I have seen Scott so angry - I could almost see the smoke coming out of his ears. Be interesting to see if the 'chat' sunk in and the players get with the program in the second half. They've done a fair job of limiting Zach's effectiveness so far. He is down by a little over 100 yards passing compared to last week.
