I do not understand why Vickers got all the love and cheers from a "grateful nation' when he was partially responsible for Bibeau , getting into the Parliament Buildings In the first place. The Sargent-at-Arms is responsible for the security and safety of the members of Parliament. Vickers wanted to Parliament buildings an open space for Canadians, he'll a lot of times they didn't lock the front door.there was a recommendation that several things needed to be tightened up. These changes were not made. Who was responsible, Vickers.Didn't anyone think, that with all the shooting happening that maybe it was odd that Vickers was proclaimed a hero, before they tested the bullets.
