I guess the investigation would just be a formality to have something down on paper! Does anyone really think any judge is going to believe that 9 women gave their consent to being beat up? Anyway it's his turn for a long term at being "bitch". Hope he enjoys it!

My guess is he went to California. Spends a lot of time there in the summers anyway. He probably cant show his face anywhere here now without being recognized.

And he probably can't show his pr!ck down there without being recognized!:)

He will be hunted by that protector of freedom for quite some time.

And the positive side is women stepping forwards and stating there is no shame in this.

that will be one of the big positives to come from this, like that lawyer who apologized because at first she did not believe the woman, she thought she was just trying to bring Ghomeshi down because she was a disgruntled ex-girlfriend. She said she was sexually assaulted at a young age by a family member, had just pushed it away and moved forward. She came clean. Many women will I think.

The "centre of him" will be getting attention once he's in the slammer! :)

it is going to be interesting to see when all of this started and who else are involved or complicit

Maybe he's hiding out with jihadist friends and getting radicalized. He's gotta be plenty p***ed and being the type to never see themselves as possibly having a problem, he will be looking for someone else to blame for this debacle. Plus he is already practicing one of their tenets - the total subjugation, humiliation and abuse of women.

With another major producer of Q taking a "leave of absence" im wondering if that will also turn into a "you're fired." It does seem like odd timing.

With the life he's lived he'd be one of the first they'd kill. Secular philanderer who loves music.

Well if they leave Mother Corp they do not have to sit down with the Huntress.
Puts the union in one hell of a position now doesn't it.

yes it's strange to be taking a few days off while they look further into it...that is not something that would be "lightly" suggested

I can't find the piece in the article that I was reading early this morning but there is something about other employees needing to take time off because of this and they made a distinction that his leave was different. It stood out at the time as bizarre but then I got interrupted and couldn't locate it.

What a mess. I can't imagine the work environment in there at this time. Not healthy anyway.

I want to go on record to say that I was stricken with fear that Elizabeth May would be shot, and like her my initial support was offered in haste. Now that I know Elizabeth is okay, therefore I have completely withdrawn my support for Jian.
Can I have what you are having?

What is the connection between Jian Ghomeshi and Elizabeth May? Surely they are not bed fellows!

A former York University student is the first male to go public with allegations of impropriety involving former radio host Jian Ghomeshi.

Jim Hounslow, who now works at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, told the Toronto Star that he and Ghomeshi were both attending York University in the early 1990s. In a report published online overnight, Hounslow alleges the two were waiting for an elevator when Ghomeshi "grabbed my genitals and fondled them."
