Good day to fly a flag. Just make sure it's a really solid flagpole. I bet kites will fly well in that wind too. A dragon kite might be fun to fly in a hurricane. I'd advise against hang gliding in a hurricane, except for the most daring adventurers.

Oooooh sounds like fun. Think I'll pack the kiddies up and take them out to the most open spot I can find - one that is completely exposed to those wonderful hurricane winds. Note to self: Take lots of photos to post on FB.

Shelters in the old days were carved into solid rock, where the geothermal was, yah got to get close to the heat sink, Hawaii is a lump of lava in the mid Pacific. I would move to the mainland as soon as possible into a quieter sizsmic zones, cracking up is fascinating, whole lotta shaking goin on .

Just catapult them into the hurricane and let it take them wherever it takes them.

We should have a law that any person whom a hurricane takes to Canada and who survives the voyage may remain since that's clearly the will of God.
