Everybody wants a carbon tax.

Just not in Washington.

You would think, being such a solid Blue State with all those progressive values and that settled science that they all would be more than willing (happy even) to vote themselves a new carbon tax. The world is dying! What about the future generations!

Alas... even with this catastrophe of epic proportions the forward thinking people of Washington state said..... Nah.

Definitely brighter than their neighbors to the north where our Premier is talking about raising ours - the first in Canada - to even higher rates.

'The team – appointed by Ms. Clark’s government – also calls for an increase in B.C.’s carbon tax by $10 a tonne each year starting in 2018, to ensure the province remains a leader in the fight against climate change.'

Increase carbon tax, extend B.C. reduction targets to 2050: report - The Globe and Mail

This news is of course highly applauded on our Left Coast where abide the largest pool of votes............meanwhile we who live in the Heartland and places further north can look forward to the multiple whammy of higher prices for everything we don't produce locally and, the higher cost of fuel.

Bad news for Canada, along with the Trump Administration's redirection to reliance on highly efficient and clean fossil fuels. That means our industrial product will be burdened with ruinous energy surtaxes in the global market.. all in response to the AGW scam that has not an iota of scientific merit. That's what we get for electing a eco-fawning nitwit as Prime Minister.
