Call it what you want, religion or ideology, in Islam it's all about hate and control.
Like most religions, they were originally designed by a leader who wanted followers and control over their followers.
Islam is one of the worst and had lead to no living benefits for its followers, all Muslim countries are nothing but sh^tholes and Muslims have never made a positive contribution towards mankind like inventing things that benefit mankind.

2. I almost adopted Islam years ago, but found some of its laws to be somewhat outdated.

If you read the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon among other valuable historical books, you'll discover that Muslim civilization surpassed Europe in the arts and sciences in the past. While Europe wallowed in the dark Ages, Wealthy Christians were sending their children to universities in Muslim Spain.
It's only in more recent history, in the last few hundred years, that Islam has really become corrupted.

Is any criticism of Islam to be classed as Islamophobia? If so how can that be allowed? Religions are criticized all the time and there is nothing wrong with that.
In some Muslim countries the penalty for criticism of Islam is death. Blasphemy, heresy, I don't know what they call it but it's much too harsh by any name.
