Canadians overwhelmingly disapprove of Donald Trump, poll says

Four out of five Canadians disapprove of U.S. President Donald Trump in the wake of an escalating trade war with Canada, a new poll has found.

The Campaign Research survey also found 72 per cent believe Trump’s protectionist policies have “harmed” the Canadian economy, while only three per cent said they have “helped.”

A survey of Canadians by Campaign Research found 72 per cent believe the protectionist policies of U.S. President Donald Trump, shown Wednesday in Washington, have “harmed” the Canadian economy, while only three per cent said they have “helped.”

Seventeen per cent said they have neither harmed nor helped, and eight per cent didn’t know.

“The prime minister is definitely on the right side of public opinion on this issue, that’s for sure,” Campaign Research CEO Eli Yufest said of Justin Trudeau.

“If he’s able to rally the Canadian public behind him on this particular issue, that will no doubt bode particularly well for him,” Yufest said Wednesday.

“Certainly, Justin Trudeau has an opportunity to leverage the issue because of the importance to Canadians.”

Some 81 per cent said they “disapproved” of the job Trump is doing, while 11 per cent approved and eight per cent didn’t know.

Whatabout Trudeau.
Whatabout him? Why, I created a thread about it. But you've been avoiding it like it was a Canadian child being held in immigrant detention. It's just more "whataboutism" to you because you can't defend Trudeau for his actions, yet you've painted yourself into a corner with your constant blowing of Trudeau so you're willing to give him a free pass and pretend it's not happening here. Like I said, you don't give a flying shit about the kids or families, you ONLY care when it involves Trump. Period. It's f*cking sickening.

FN hating advocacy science pushers are too chicken shit to admit that Trudeau is continuing a long tradition of ripping Canadian children away from their parents.

I think pretty much everyone who isn't a white nationalist climate change denier disapproves of Trump.

Certainly true here in our little forum

every single Trump supporter is also a white nationalist climate change denier

coincidence?

I don't think so.

Canada needs a Donald Trump. We're going to have to stand up to the man on trade, defense and nationalism, with more than the drift of the fawning, limp wristed flake we have as PM now.

Donald Trump has steadily risen the opinion polls in the U.S., despite the hysterical jihad the mainstream press has persistently pressed against him. He's now in the 45% range, which equates with other peace time, two term Presidents since WW2.

So whether or not he outrages the delicate sensibilities of Canadians in their comfortable, fragile, politically correct, multicultural, global bubble we better get used to him. Because he's likely to be there for a while; and he is recreating the American political identity in his image.

LOL!

The LAST thing we need is our own version of Trump. We don't need that amount of ignorance, inhumanity, empathy lacking, garbage type person representing us. Trudeau may be a lot of things, but for his stance against the US, I approve of that at least.

While he holds innocent Canadian children in immigration detention? Oh yeah Serryah, he's a real f*cking humanitarian.

She hasn’t heard much about it on the mainstream media , so it cannot be true . And besides it started under Harper .
