If the baby jeebus actually ever did come back, I suspect we'd find him in the camping section in a hammock.

God I love that store.

I arrived in Canada 1953. At Canadian Tire assistants were behind a counter on roller skates & the customer picked from a catalogue whereupon the assistant skated back to get the goods.

How things have changed from the old system I loved.

Liquor stores in Saskatchewan used to work that way too, movable panels at the front of the store with the product list on them, and a counter the full width of the shop you couldn't get past. Write down what you want on a form provided, take it to the counter, and somebody would wander into the back to fetch it for you.

Scored a new 245/70 R17 all terrain for $9.99. Regular $208.00.

One more and I will have a set and a new spare at the least if I can't find one.

Comes in high on the list of best bargains ever. Happy, happy
