Yes, there is. The correct way.

It is the correct way. If you have an alternative spelling, feel free to share.

"British". Not "Brittish."

If you can spell "Cannuck" any way you want, I can spell "Brittish" any way I want.

And why would it upset us? English is as much your language as it is ours.

Yup, and we choose tire over tyre, gum over chewy, and cigarette over fag for that matter. Hope those don't twist get knickers.

See you!

The world is leaving you behind Blackie in every way shape and form.

The sun had set on your defunct empire a hundred years ago... You folks just haven't accepted the fact

Actually, most of them have. But there's always the fantasists still living in Victoria's day, aka the BNP and BNP-Lite.

I think Canadian Tire could have corrected things by just adding another section.. gift ideas for your butch biker dyke bitch girlfriend... like chainsaws and tire irons.. you know.. be more inclusive.. show some sensitivity. :)

Tyre. Not tire. The infinitive "to tire" means to lose energy or strength; grow weary.

How about you scroll back to the top of the page and re-check what forum you're in.

CanadianContent.net

The main part in that is "Canadian."

In Canada, it's officially spelled "Tire" therefore you're wrong yet again.

If you want to get all uppity about how things are spelled in your country, head over to some BritishContent web site because none of us give a sh*t.

Oh and here's one that'll p*ss you off:

Aluminium is spelled "Aluminum" in Canada..... And it's pronounced "A-Lu-Meh-Num" rather than "Al-Lu-Min-i-Um."

Go figure.

But thanks for trying to educate us on something none of us care about.

We all know you lot can't spell. You can't even spell your own username properly so you've got no chance of spelling "tyre" correctly.

This coming from a guy in a nation that uses an accent that butchers the pronouncements of the English language.

Ell'o Gov'na. U fee'ln Be'a bou noa b'en ab'el ta use tha le'a "T" n Mos O' er Wards chap?

Bli'me U Lo'a Er O' a fine ex'am'pull O' ow ta spea tha Que'nz t'ung.

A've a'nudd'r Pin't thar bl'oak.

And why would it upset us? English is as much your language as it is ours. Your British ancestors took it with them. If you want to degrade Canadian English that's entirely up to you.

Then sod off about "Tire/Tyre" then..... Mate.

You do realize that Quebec French is also different from France French, right?

One more thing I don't have to care about!
