The kid is an innocent victim in this I agree. The parents are using the kid as a vehicle to gain what they couldn't do illegally. He is a pawn. Mom and Dad are stuck in a Texas detention center and Canada does not seem too concerned. So mom and dad say...

"Let's have the kid write a letter in crayon. Maybe that will work."

I know that. The article is reaching the audience it was supposed to. The Canadian Govt simply needs to tell the US Govt. that they will assume responsibility and get them on a plane and BADABING they're yours!

Canada isn't doing that. So now they are reaching out to the Candian people.
