Now that oil is dead...

6 Canadian tech companies hiring amid coronavirus

Industry leaders in Canada’s tech sector are pointing to tech companies to drive Canada’s economic recovery post-coronavirus.

All sectors of the Canadian economy depend on technology companies to meet their needs in areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data privacy, e-commerce, clean technology and advanced manufacturing. This is just one of the findings in a new white paper report titled: The Post-Viral Pivot: How Canada’s Tech Startups Can Drive the Recovery from COVID-19.

Those 6 you posted are short term jobs IMO, once the pandemic is gone so are the majority of those jobs. Oil patch not so much 2900 positions to be filled on the Trans Mountain twin kicking off after May long weekend.

None, since the oil companies are switching to renewables.

Oh DEAR ME! That is a LIE!

As we know - the oil companies ARE NOT dedicated to mouldy green power!

They are ONLY FOND OF GOVT GRANTS!

EVERYBODY LOVES FREE GOVT GRAVY!

But oh my - our govts at every level are WAY PAST BEING BANKRUPT!

Our govt are exploring previously UNIMAGINED LEVELS OF DEBT!

Thus there will be NO MORE GOVT GRANTS FOR GREEN ENERGY GARBAGE!

In fact - the REVERSE is more likely - meaning that govt will turn to OIL - our most valuable export!

To SAVE US from being TOTALLY DESTITUTE!

It is FOR THIS REASON that Our idiot Boy Justin OVER RULED the environmentalists and radical native hereditary loudmouths

and got Northern Gateway pipeline moving again!

Mouldy green power policy DESTROYS JOBS!

Oil sales PRODUCE JOBS!

Even Our idiot Boy Justin KNOWS THIS!

Our idiot Boy ALSO KNOWS the quickest way to CLEAN OUR AIR and save our environment is to CUT BACK ON GRAVY

for civil service union HOGS!

But the idiot Boy simply lacks the sense and courage to do WHAT IS RIGHT FOR THE CDN MAJORITY!

"Now that oil is dead". Strong the naivtee is in this one. And the silly fool actually believes in the Green Devolution. That's the sad part, denial of reality. You know, because mining is sooo environmentally, ecologically and habitat friendly.

People will be driving less and working from home more.

You do the math.

OPEC Slashes 2020 Oil Demand Forecast By 9 Million Bpd
https://oilprice.com/Energy/Crude-O...Oil-Demand-Forecast-By-9-Million-Bpd.amp.html
Do you ever read the shit you link to?

Right from the f*cking article you half-witted troglodyte.

Members of OPEC and their allies, including Russia and Mexico, announced Sunday that they have agreed to cut production by 9.7 million barrels a day in May and June, the deepest cut ever agreed to by the world's oil producers. After that, the group will steadily ramp up production until the agreement expires in April 2022.

Duhhhh YOU do the math, dumb ass.

P.S. Non-OPEC+ nations have not committed to actual cuts in production.

Nope OPEC cut 6 Million barrels/day OPEC + agreed to the other 4 Million barrels/day, if you are counting the pledge from the rest of the producing nations (Norway, Canada, USA, Mexico, etc.) the cuts could be around 20 Million barrels/day. Watch within 6 months for Oil to bounce back to around $60+ a barrel which would make alternatives attractive again.

ROFLMAO. Do tell- how do construction workers work from home? How about the guys that run the municipal sewage treatment plants?
Fact is it is mostly government employees that can work from home because they don't do anything important anyway.

Fact is: Anyone who worked in an office will be working from home more often now.

I see the meltdowns are hitting a bit hard for you guys lol

That will only last so long, managers will start questioning productivity, while questioning how much time person's are actually spending on work related items while being at home.
