Canadian Prairies are rapidly shrinking, faster than Amazon rainforest and the Great

Seriously, the life and diversity per acre are very different between the rainforest and the prairies.

No one is saying they are the same... but I don't think you realize the diversity that could or has existed in the past on the prairies. Even today... go take a walking hike with a conservationist guide through a protected area... the diversity of plants and homes for creatures will astound you. Just because it isn't lush with greenery all year round.... does not mean it isn't vital to our environment.

Um, if the prairies go away, can we terraform something like they have in the south Pacific? It would be great for tourism and our pocketbooks if we could go to Regeena in January for a tropical vacation...

As somebody that considers Winnipeg my home, I wouldn't mind seeing the Prairies disappear. Let Winnipeg have the mountains for a change
