Although didn't all the management switch too? I seem to remember something like that. I think they went with another label (besides the cash aspect) because Sony went with X-Factor and is releasing the music from their contestants.
Oh, yeah, thanks - I forgot that.
It's weird to see recently-eliminated contestants doing concerts while the season is still on. Casey, Pia and one of the
judges - JLo - all performing in the same concert!! Besides, Casey and Pia have no music out, no recording contracts. Can't 19 wait a few months for the Idols concert? We already know Pia is getting the buildup. Is Casey, too? Is he going to get a contract?
I think it's kind of unfair to the winners and others who have contracts, albums, singles, and have worked to promote themselves - to throw these other people into the mix, who have done nothing. I think it kind of drags the Idol image down. Like, the more people you throw out there - some of whom are not wildly talented - it just makes it seem like anyone can be a star if they're on Idol - and it takes a lot away from the cache of being a winner (or even second or third place). makes it harder to promote winners, too, I'd say.
I don't know if Pia is in the mix for Memorial Day at the Capitol or not. She isn't listed officially but she's been announced elsewhere.

It just seems kind of blatant for her to be pushed this way - especially for this solemn occasion - using it as publicity or exposure seems kind of wrong. I mean, someone like Kris has done a lot, won Idol, toured, had radio exposure - so it just doesn't seem like he's there for a publicity break. Plus, he played for the troops.
Pia has done so little that if she's there it does seem to me like a "publicity coup" and I find that a bit offensive, tbh.
Strangely, this is the only source that has ever listed her (everybody else took it from there, I think). Wonder why the official site hasn't been changed?

I hope she's not going to be a "surprise" to the audience - talk about drama.
