I'm laughing about how you completely ignore the whole controversy of the video. That is like the only thing that makes it even interesting to me! Is he saying Tara is a psycho drama queen, or is it just a coincidence that the model has long blonde hair? I think this is the main thing that people are talking about. I'm curious how you interpreted it.
His hats? I don't care that he always wears them. I understand, believe me. lol. In fact it was Brian who inspired me to start wearing hats because I thought his looked fresh and I was tired of people staring at the top of my head. I don't think he wears the best ones, lately, though. It does get kind of boring. But he probably does not look attractive bald. Some guys just don't. To me, at least it's better that he wears hats as opposed to wearing a hairpiece, or weave (like Harry Connick, Jr). To me, that is hard to take. Dave Rosin also wears a hat most of the time (sometimes he doesn't, though).
Brian answered me on twitter after he said to be prepared for a surprise in his album pics (I think), and I tweeted something like, "You're going to take your hat off?" He thought it was funny, I guess.

LOL - see that didn't seem at all controversial to me. It probably is supposed to be Tara. Whether or not it's the truth is another matter. But I don't think it's an accident that they used an actress with long blonde hair in the video. How's that?
I don't really care if he wears hats. (okay YES I DO! lol) My only issue is I've never, ever seen his head.
And it just makes me want to snatch the hat away like a big ole meanie. I'm really crossing my fingers that a video of that exists somewhere!

Brian Melo portaying Tara Oram in a video as a crazy-ass bitch? To me that's controversial. Anyhow I just meant it's the theme of the video and you didn't mention it. That's all.
I find his airing his personal life in a video kind of surprising. I thought he was Mr. Nice Guy.

I don't watch Glee so I have no idea who the guy was with Kalan. Or why he was with Kalan. Is he Canadian? (Kalan is a well-known CNN junkie, btw.) Larry King doesn't have gray hair, though.

It was SUCH a good episode!! I loved it. And I was rooting for Kai over Adam right up until Adam showed up at Erica's place and she called him a coward and then I was all.. hmm, good point..maybe Adam is better for her. But they faked us out and made it a Dr. Tom episode instead of a which boy should she choose episode which I thought was great storytelling. So good.
Hee! Well, I don't know Tara at all really.. she might just be a crazy ass bitch.
Brian implying that she is, well it's going to be an inside joke at best. I don't think either of them get much press. It actually might even help both of them if it was true and got out. No he's American. I think the picture was from LA. it's interesting to me that they were at the same Halloween party.

People seem to be very excited about Kris on this telethon. And something about an acoustic version of one of Kris songs being "available to fans" soon - or so I read on MJ's blog. I know I'm a bad Kris fan to say it but I'm never super-interested in Kris-Cale versions of things. I really prefer the band. I'm not against acoustic, per se, but Andrew is a great accompanist to Kris (even acoustic). They compliment each other. Andrew is exciting. Cale is not exciting. But maybe I should shut up and hear what they do before I start complaining.
I don't like what Kris wore for the telethon. When he tries, he looks way worse than when he doesn't do anything, for some reason.

Well, if you think they're cute, then, okay, I guess... I probably sound silly, anyhow. But whenever Kris has some really national exposure he always seem to look kind of nondescript. He isn't in the limelight much. So, walking a red carpet I think he should emphasize his assets. Then he'll get talked about more, in a shallow manner. I mean, this part isn't about the music, it's about the looks! (It's not me who's being shallow, here, I'm saying it's the media and the bloggers and so forth. They might give him more attention if he looks more like this...)

...which were taken about a year and a half ago, before Kris won Idol and supposedly became a star. So I think that, all this time down the road, he should be looking more...successful? Fashionable? Star-like?

I'm okay with the vest and tie pictures, especially since it's a fundraiser type thing. It's the piped jacket pictures I always hate.

Those are great pictures!! The best I've seen so far. (Minor complaint: I would have liked a few more of the band.)

(Today is Veteran's Day, a federal holiday, and I had the day off. Not much to do, and I looked at the headlines thread on MJ's, and I posted something which was in defense of Slezak. Of course, many of the regulars are not too fond of Slezak.)

I'm kind of disappointed the radio concerts are just going to be Kris and Cale. I mean, they do a good job, but unless you're a die-hard fan, there's way less show, less excitement. (I've seen Kris with the band, and Kris with Cale. A couple of guys standing in place playing guitars while one sings and the other does harmony is very pretty music but the entertainment quotient is somewhat limited.)
There are probably many people who don't even know Kris has a band and think of him as an acoustic performer of limited appeal. This doesn't really help that.

There was no Slezak controversy, except that apparently he reviewed Lee's CD and apparently it was not that favorable, and then Q3 trotted out the stats to prove that he has only reviewed one other Idol CD, and that was Allison's, which he gave a rave to, but that if he had not given Allison an A- then the average grades of all the idol CDs which have been reviewed by the other EW reviewers would go down 62.8 percent, or something. And the main export of Costa Rica is bananas, except in months ending in "y".
Oh, and that he loves Crystal so his review of Lee's CD cannot be taken seriously. And the perception that he doesn't seem to worship Adam was also mentioned. In passing. And the fact that he likes Kris makes him a fan rather than a critic.

It's funny, I forgot you guys also celebrated the holiday. But, from what I've heard, your Remembrance Day (and England's) is closer in spirit to our Memorial Day (in May).
