I took this link on MJ's: American Idol 10 | 2011: Escute "Live It Up", música nova do Lee DeWyze! + Preview do CD!

You can hear Lee's song Live It Up and snippets from the other songs on the album. I won't be buying his album. I feel like I've heard all those songs several times before. There's not an ounce of originality on this album. The only song I would probably want to buy is Stay Here. It has a vibe that is similar to AWM, it must be why I like it.

The individual snippets are also here: Live It Up: Lee Dewyze: Amazon.fr: Téléchargements MP3

I probably won't buy the album either, but I'm intrigued by Dear Isabelle. So I'll definitely check it out when the album's released. But as of right now.. not an auto-buy.

Oh, he's against Archie (and winning for now). I see that they're trying yet another song from Archie, and that one is definitely the one I disliked the most when I listened to his album. I guess they decided to go for a ballad after the more uptempo songs didn't really work.

Cook looks as though he's having a great time at that tennis event! Love.The.Laugh. on Twitpic

Kris was ahead until the Archie fans got wind of the poll (probably because some Kris fan posted in on MJ's. I wish they wouldn't do that!). Archie is winning now.

Shoot! My boycott of MJ's was short-lived. I had to read about the Chicago concert. I even posted. The tweets were incredible from that concert. I guess Kris has fans.

I liked the uptempo songs, but Falling Stars I'm a bit meh on. I think Radio challenges are getting wise to Idol fans putting them up against each other and getting a ton of web hits. LOL.

Nobody has commented on this, but Kris has now eleminated both Heartless and MITM from his set. Which you guys were saying he should. MITM is nice but I'm glad he took it out, as it doesn't really fit with his set. Also, MITM and IIO together didn't really work, when I saw the show. Two slow songs.

Now if he would only add ANS back in.... hmm. :)

I love both Heartless and MITM as you know, but yeah it's not a bad thing to change them out. MITM has been a staple since Idol -- I'd like to see them do Paranoid Android for the Lifehouse crowd, actually, lol - but they need to keep their set upbeat and the energy up since they just have a short set. They're actually really good about tailoring their set-lists.

and if it's a choice between IIO and MITM - I'd go for IIO. Because those guys play the hell out of that song. I want a live version. Badly.

Hmm. Not sure I agree with that. I think I got enough of that on the Idols tour. Though he does a great job with it.

I agree. I wonder if that was ever the choice? Maybe. Anyhow, Everybody Wants To Rule The World has replaced MITM, and I think it's a good replacement - though I never really loved that song. It's just more fun and it doesn't slow down the set. In Boston, the audience seemed to like MITM - they sang along, etc. I turned around and saw three guys singing along to it. But then when IIO started, some people seemed to want to get up (and go to the bathroom, so they wouldn't miss any Lifehouse, I guess). By eliminating MITM, the audience doesn't get into the "this is another slow song" mode. When I saw the set I thought MITM was probably the one that should go. But I didn't actually think it would.

Apparently, some tweeters are missing The Truth, on this tour. (But hey, tweeters missed NB on the Idols tour.) I don't think The Truth belongs in that set. I certainly never missed it.

Paranoid Android probably wouldn't be good in Kris's opening set, as you said. The set is feel-good-high-energy (but it doesn't lack depth). Somehow I think PA would not especially work.

Maybe not, but I'm curious about the reaction. :) Plus I LOVE it, LOVE it, LOVE it. I also want INTK - lol and like Stuck on a Moment.. and Before We Come Undone.. and Let it Rain.. and FROM THE ASHES... Bring it Back.

I never miss NoBo. (there was a thing on twitter today about someone from the Xfactor singing NoBo again which I guess was false.. but I seriously cringed - lol) The Truth .. sometimes. It's still on the radio after all. I can see why they're not playing it since it's a slow song too and would disrupt the energy, so I understand them not playing it. I'd rather have IIO over TT too.

I loved ANS.. so much.. that version from BB Kings where he just kind of picked it out on guitar?? .. I flip out over that.

But you're right distancing from Idol songs isn't a bad idea.

This is awesome too..

Is that Gavin Rossdale with David?

Yes, that was him!

BTW, David won his watch today! Well, they were playing in pairs, so him and his partner won, LOL. They're playing again tomorrow.

Alors, I learned who Banksy was today:

Getty Images - Unsupported browser detected

David has a new tattoo on his right forearm and it's art from Banksy the street artist. It's this: http://www.banksycanvas.co.uk/ekmps/shops/banksycanvas/images/banksy-red-balloon-girl-182-p.jpg

As for Kris' setlist, really, at this point, if I could see him live, I would really take any song he would choose to do, LOL. But variety is indeed really good. And high energy is the best way to go when it's an opening set.

Oh, and apparently, David's album is done and they're just waiting for RCA for a release date. That's the rumor I see on twitter right now.

In Boston the Lifehouse fans were sort of square and conventional so I'm not sure what the response to Paranoid Android would be - not that it would be bad, but I don't know how many people there looked like they's like Radiohead.

I'm generalizing. They were mostly great to Kris, though, so maybe I shouldn't generalize at all. (Except for one guy, about 45, with gray hair, who sat in the front row with his arms crossed, glowering, the whole time Kris played.)

I also want INTK - lol and like Stuck on a Moment.. and Before We Come Undone.. and Let it Rain.. and FROM THE ASHES... Bring it Back.

I think INTK is a tour de force. The rest...kinda meh. Okay, maybe not quite "meh," but they aren't really my favorites. I like Send Me All Your Angels better than all of those. I think he's doing some of his strongest stuff in the concert currently - most of my favorites, anyhow.

By the way, did you guys happen to see the news item a few days ago that said Jive laid off eight people? Executives, I mean. In publicity, marketing, etc.

Also - do you think (as people have speculated, elsewhere) that because Kris will be doing radio station concerts, it might be an indication that AWM will be added to said stations? Don't artists do these concerts to support their singles?

As for that WAJK poll, it's still neck and neck between Archie and Kris. Kris was ahead last time I checked, now it's Archie again, by a hair (2 pts). girlygirl just posted this:

That poll is for an unmonitored radio station, j/s

I don't see what difference that makes. You do well in a poll, they play your music on the station. People hear it, they buy it, they tell their friends, etc. Exposure to listeners is the main thing, to me, not whether a station is monitored.

Oo no.. missed that. That can't be good for anyone. Their publicity dept kinda sucked though, hafta say. But who knows why they sucked, maybe they didn't have the resources.

I don't know where I saw that, about Jive. It was not on any Idol blog or forum.

I'm curious about the radio station question I asked. What do you think? Also, remember when Kris said they were trying to get on Ellen but it didn't work out? They wouldn't be going on there except to play/promote the single, would they?

I like Kris at the end of this. Also, how he posed for pictures while he was in the crowd, singing. lol!

Question: what's happened to Kris's famous banter - he's on his third headlining concert and I haven't seen any clips of him being funny. Or did I just miss them? Also, have you noticed somewhat less humor in his interviews, lately? Usually he has me laughing out loud. (Of course there was the C. Browder video, but that wasn't spontaneous humor.)

PS - Katy Allen is asking us to vote on that radio poll.

Other places to vote for AWM:

Live stream! (I'll check the video you posted out later)

A qik snippet of my life | United States | By Ally Grace (gracelessally)

I think the Ellen thing was a timing/scheduling thing. She may only have x slots free and Kris and co. may be elsewhere those dates.

He's killing tonight in the audience (banter wise) I can't make out a single word.. but the audience is LOL'ing all over the place.

That radio poll told me I voted too much and put me on a time out. LOL

Lack of humour? I haven't really noticed that. I need more interviews to test your theory. :)

Did you misunderstand my question(s)?

I mentioned what Kris said about Ellen only because I was curious if you think it means they're trying to book TV time to introduce/promote AWM. Because why else would he be looking to be on Ellen (or any other TV show), unless he was going to promote the single?

In other words I took it that doing radio concerts and TV appearances makes it seem likely Jive is going to promote AWM and send it for ads, rather than...not.

Otherwise, they're sending very mixed messages.

Quite possibly. LOL

But I think that it's more than likely this.

Otherwise, they're sending very mixed messages.

Jive is not known for clarity of thought. :)

Will also watch adorkable David when stream stops or dies. :) I like adorkable.
