Wait, I thought he sang at the end. No? Maybe not.

The thing Kris said that offended them was "quality, not quantity," or whatever. He's so awesome!! The question was stupid, actually, but you'd hardly realize it since he took it so well, and made a joke out of it.

Yeah, those people have no sense of humor, but other people are getting really sick of their attitude. People really aren't as slow on the uptake as it sometimes seems. You can never attack someone who doesn't deserve it repeatedly without it triggering a backlash. (See "Urban, Tim")

Well, I'm glad they picked a Canadian, that's a positive thing. I guess I was hoping for a theme that was broader. I don't really like themes that are "songs by one artist," but if I like the artist a lot, that helps. I don't really like country.

I've always thought of Shania in a more pop country vein. Maybe because her songs like Lady Antebellum's/Taylor Swifts really did play on every station here. May not be the case where you live, but I'm just saying I can sing more than one of her songs from memory. My father is also in love with her. So there is also that. She was a good judge, so I have hopes for her as a mentor.

So, to tie up some loose ends:

Yes, many Kris fans had been under the impression his Haiti footage would be shown tonight. I wasn't even sure, but it seemed likely. I expected a brief clip.

Adam as a judge? If it would keep him from singing, I'm all for it. (j/k)

Seriously, that's all I'd need. Adam Lambert on my TV every week (again). Just think of it. Being on Idol would sell his music, and his music on the radio would publicize his stint on Idol.

I'm sure Shania Twian is very popular here, but I went through a period where I didn't listen to pop music or pop radio or anything, and I wasn't listening then.

That Hedley clip was amazing! Loved it. Do you guys sometimes find you can't hear clips (like that)? I have to put on earphones. I guess it's my laptop speakers. Not a lot of volume.

Considering they never mentioned Kris or Let It Be again or even sold the song in Canada I was not holding out a lot of hope for Kris making an appearance.

Lights. You might know her. I don't know.. She's very Owl City-ish in her music, and was on tour with him actually.

That little article about Kris reminded me. He's only going to be the American Idol for another month. :( I can't believe it.

Ha. Kris is actually getting more screams now, I think, than after he was crowned the Idol. I think so, anyhow. I think that's a very good sign. :)

It's been doing that to me, too, lately. As well as changing some words, like it's spell-checking me! How do I disable that??

I agree. Did you see the Bahamas Come Together? It was almost as wild as Singapore.

Oh I forgot!! Thanks for reminding me missaddicted! Oliver and Sebastian are awesome!! They do however look like they got dressed in a thrift store. ;)

I am #147 in the Idol pool - thanks Tim! :)
