Yay for the tour dates.. boo for no Canada. But if he's coming to Canada I'd want him to wait until the CD gets more airplay...I heard it in a store the other day.. whoot! First time!

You mean in a record store? The whole CD, in other words? Yay.

I don't think we were saying (as a complaint) that Ryan doesn't answer tweets about Kris. It was more like: people on MJ's were saying Ryan was being pestered on twitter by Kris fans, to promote LIB on this radio show. And that he was annoyed by this, and was tweeting them back in an irritated fashion. Which missaddicted says he never did do, so someone was spreading a rumor.

Finally CHUM has LLWD on their music survey this week. -- Yahooo!

Sorry, nope. LLWD in a deli. :) I've heard it on the radio.. just not in a store.

Yep, I was just agreeing with you guys. :) Cause you are right, as usual. (or most of the time)

I wasn't right that time! Oops. Misunderstood you, I guess.

Hedley's video for perfect. Autobiographical? Yep, I think so.

That was a great video!!!

I think from your description I expected something different. I expected a "Jacob is an unfaithful dumb bastard video" about breaking up. But it was open to a lot of different interpretations, I think.

Aw, CI. I still miss you.

I just bought some AI live performances from this week and it's like they put them through auto-tune or something, they smoothed out the imperfections. Of course, I didn't listen to the trainwrecks, but for example, Lee's "pitchy" moments are not audible on the track.

Oh, and the Idol Guy started doing his reviews again. They're not as funny as Slezak's or Jim's, but I enjoy them, he's fair.

I liked it too, and I didn't mean autobiographical in a bad way. It just seemed really personal.

I miss CI too! Theo and Oliver were tweeting today about writing together. That might be interesting.

Don't mind me, but I'm not a huge fan if The Idol Guy. Examples of why:

Kris Allen couldn’t make Apologize all that palatable last year, and Tim wasn’t anywhere near in that category. Bad vocals, poor song choice… no. Just no.

What was not "palatable" about Kris's Apologize? I often don't agree with him on these little points, so I find myself getting annoyed with his observations.

Give Lilly Scott credit for sheer guts. She seems to have a knack for picking songs that on paper shouldn’t work… but do. If anything, her song choice this week could have been described as reckless. A Change Is Gonna Come had been done in last year’s finale by Adam Lambert. Two years ago, Syesha Mercado had tried her hand at it. Lily had no business trying this song.

No business singing A Change Is Gonna Come, just because it had been sung by Adam and Syesha? Why, isn't she good enough?

See, he tends to annoy me, so I don't usually read him. Sorry!

I agree he does good, thorough recaps.

Yeah, I saw that and I was like: Yes, do it!!!

I hadn't bought any from last week yet, so I went back to buy Lee's performance from last week (in addition to the one from this week... Hinder.... eeeek!). From this week, I also bought the tracks from Alex, Crystal and Katelyn. They all sound good to me!

I didn't mean autobiographical in a bad way (though it sounded like that's what I meant, I agree). I meant I expected a realistic video where Jacob would portray a guy who is "not perfect" -- I just thought that it might be about a guy who screws up a relationship by being less than perfect, and who is explaining this in the song. In other words, kind of literal.

But I don't know why, I didn't interpret it like you did. I didn't see too much personal in it. It didn't seem to have any meaning to me. It just seemed really stylized and arty. He sang very intensely but I didn't discern any meaning. How do you interpret it?

Hinder, *shakes head at missaddicted* lol. ;) I might buy Alex's and Crystal's, maybe Lily's, those are my three standouts this week. I haven't bought any yet though. I'm a little dismayed at myself for buying I Believe and keeping it at the top of the itunes charts. *shakes head at sleepinin*

The intensity is probably the biggest factor that makes me think of it as a very personal song. The meaning.. well I think he's saying he tried his best to make things work, and sometimes that isn't enough, and it hurts.

m'kay I think this might be Drew.. what do you think?

That's Drew all right. Is that from Arkansas? If so I have to take back my "review" of Ryand's drumming. But in the clip it looked like the drummer had long hair.

The intensity is probably the biggest factor that makes me think of it as a very personal song. The meaning.. well I think he's saying he tried his best to make things work, and sometimes that isn't enough, and it hurts.

It was so OTT in design, with the red, white and black, the fake blood and rose petals, and the "double suicide" pose, and all the costume changes, I couldn't really take it seriously as anything other than a pretentious music video (not that that's bad, really). But anyway, Jacob just cuts through it with his intensity. In an emotional sense. Of course, the design really adds to the emotional response and it's a great video, I think.

Previously, just hearing the song, it didn't sound that intense. Seeing him perform it is very intense. I was noticing that characteristic thing he does of bending forward at the hip, going back and forth. He does that standing up, usually. It's just a Jacob thing. Know what I'm taking about?

What's "I Believe"?

I added a lot to my post, above. Please read, kthx.

Drew has huge glasses. Ryland has glasses more like mine, plastic frames, kinda big but not as huge.

Kris went to Vail to perform, yeah. I can't find the website at the moment. It's a resort where a lot of big stars play.

Salvation Army tweeted a link to this:

I think Canada went on an itunes Olympic fueled buying spree. :)

I think Ross is right and it's Drew. They're playing some fundraiser in Vail tonight for Cystic Fibrosis. (I think)

I Believe. It's our Olympic Anthem.

It comes in both English

YouTube - "I Believe" by Nikki Yanofsky (Vancouver 2010 Music Video: Olympic Torch Relay)

and French

YouTube - "J'Imagine" par Annie Villeneuve (Vancouver 2010 Video Musique: Relais de la Flamme Olympique)

and then both together.

YouTube - I Believe/J'Imagine. Ode to Canada's Olympic Triumph.m4v

Let's just say we've heard it a LOT. It's cheesetastic. And I now own it thanks to promising to buy it if the hockey team got their act together. #IBelieve

Oh, yeah, I remember now about the Vail fundraiser concert!

Reel Big Fish is playing in Hawaii tonight, so if Ryland is with them, it would make sense that Drew would be with Kris... unless Ryland has an evil double!
