Yes, I think we've seen it before, but thanks anyway!

So, Allison is also going to be on AI Thursday. They could have waited for the following week, no? I guess, it's not really going to change anything, but I kind of wanted Kris to have his own moment on AI... of course, his moment is mainly going to be about Haiti. So, I'm now left even more wanting Kris to have his own promotional moment on AI.

Whoa, Debra Yeo, that Toronto Star blogger with the Adam bias, apparently wrote that Kris's Haiti trip was fabricated. And he never even went there. Is she insane?

OMG, she's really a moron!!! What does she think, that the photos were faked? Also, the comments are closed on the post, so we can't even send her the video of Kris in Haiti. It almost makes me want to complain to the newspaper about her. Seriously, how stupid can you be?

ETA: Only checking the date of the interview on the video (January 28 ) would have answered her question. She's really stupid.

Hey, so Let It Be on Thursday? Yay, because we'll be able to buy it (with benefits to Haiti I guess), but nay, because it doesn't promote LLWD.

Aww, well, of course, Kris isn't thinking about promoting himself, just about the people in Haiti.

From the conference call:

He’s really looking forward to coming back to the Idol results show on Thursday, and is really happy “It’s not about me.”
“That feels really good” he said.

I like that Photo, I'm pretty sure I've seen it before. I think there might even be one with Cale....?

Still, a joke? Yeah, whatever. She just posted something without checking the facts... real journalists don't do that.

She's an idiot, but at least she owned up to her mistake. She really should know better than to post that Kris faked a trip to Haiti.. like seriously. I know she's not a fan but, come on.

I wish Kris was singing one of his own songs, I don't think LLWD would be the best choice, but I would have loved to hear another one of his. That being said it really isn't about Kris, (it's just me being selfish).

This site has a few more photos.

And this one some video with Kris and the UN Foundation.. they have a long way to go. Boy oh, boy. Where do you even start?

I don't especially like the Beatles and I wish Kris would stop singing their songs! I'm serious. It's the one thing I don't especially dig about him musically.

I'm sure he'll do a great job, but I could never love Let It Be the way I can love Man In The Mirror, for example. Beatles songs are really kind of pretentious (except for their early stuff). It worked for the Beatles but (imho) doesn't necessarily bring out what's best about Kris. The Beatles could be heavy-handed. Kris is anything but heavy-handed, and therein lies the discrepancy, to me.

I'll be happy to eat my words Thursday night, of course.

I wish he could have done a revised Land Of Smiles, or one of his other songs not off his current album. Something of his own. Guess there was hardly time for that, though.

I wish he was singing LLWD as well -- but I think the song will get a boost, regardless.

Debra Yeo -- can she really be that stupid? How long does it takle to Google "Kris Allen Haiti" and find out if he's been there? I don't know if I believe her apology. If it's true, she's a nitwit. I guess that's a good a defense as any, though. Just kind of unbelievable she actually has the backing of the Toronto Star to influence people about music or performers or anything.

Reading her original post, and that New Zealand b.s., and remembering that Kris's music is still not available in Australia, I kind of wonder why Kris seems especially scorned by the Commonwealth countries. Did he insult the Queen, or something? I hope he doesn't get rotten tomatoes thrown at him in The Bahamas.

NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I'm totally with Kris on this one. The Beatles rock. He can sing a different Beatles song every day for me and that would be grand.

Yes, she can! Does she write for the star? Or just have a blog on their website.. hmm, I guess I'd know better than you.. lol. I'll have to look at the paper.

Well, New Zealand likes him. And I freaking LOVE him. It's just the stupid media here in Canada we have to convince. CHUM puzzles me though, because after the finale, the DJ's really preferred Kris. I guess the Dj's don't make the music choices though. I do find it interesting that the two places that they didn't promote Kris that heavily, are the two places Adam's going first. Things like that make you think...

More Photos.

You read that article I linked to, right? At least one person in New Zealand no like!("It was a national disgrace" that Kris beat Adam, according to her.)

What photo is that, SleepinIn? I couldn't find it.

Okay. But I guess I just think the Beatles and Kris rock in different ways. I also think he seems uncharacteristically weak , vocally, on some Beatles songs, like Yesterday and Hey Jude. I don't thing they suit his voice or his style. jmho.

I suppose you guys read Adam's insulting words about SuBo in that British gay magazine. Either Adam is seriously crazy or he's crazy like a fox and knows how to get himself publicity. I believe he told Oprah SuBo was "amazing," or some such. Then this.

Three Faces Of Eve hits MJs blog with two posts in a row:

I am surprised to hear Allison is appearing so early in the season. It’s when they get to the Top 12 that they open up the show – and thus a bigger audience. But I agree, she will have to bring it with Scars. No matter how talented she is, no record label would continually keep an artist on if they cannot make them money.

Allison’s problem is that she has never been able to build a strong fan base. She tied with Anoop for having been in the bottom the most times during Season 8. And she often fell to the bottom when she gave good performances. And she was never able to overcome that during the AI summer tour. There were often reports of her being rude to fans. And all this is now coming to a head with her poor sales. The thing that is disconcerting is that there has been no news of a tour for her.

--------

For myself (and I didn't consult my "voices" on this. Maybe next time), I'm a little bummed Allison gets to debut a new single, and Kris doesn't even get to promote his single (obviously, though, they don't think his single even needs promoting).

I LOVE the Beatles as well and I'm totally fine with Kris wanting to see their songs anytime he wants. I was just bummed (selfishly) that he couldn't sing one of his songs on AI. Will he have to wait until the finale to sing a second single on the show? That's my fear.

I didn't see what Adam said on SuBo. What did he say?

I started to but then I thought they were on crack, so I didn't finish. lol. The charts in NZ liked Kris though.

Just read it. I'm not an Adam apologist, it probably wasn't the smartest thing to say or the nicest (although I sort of agree with him that I don't like it very much) But my family alone owns more copies of Subo's cd than Adam's. My mother also did not watch Oprah for Adam. lol.

My theory on Adam and Subo is that just like how the journalists that interview Kris always bring up Adam, the one's that interview Adam tend to bring up Subo. I just think Adam isn't as good as Kris is about turning the other cheek and ignoring that kind of stuff. He tends to strike out when he gets annoyed. Plus, he's trying to get a reaction. It worked, but it gets old. Just ask John Meyer.

I didn't know the 3 faces of Eve didn't like Allison. I thought it was just Kris that they had a problem with. No tour news for Allison? OMG! There is no tour news for ANYONE. *sigh*

Yeah, me too. I was sorta hoping for Kris to perform "I Need to Know" but I'm happy that they chose Scars for Allison's next single. I think it's really strong.

I don't think I've even heard Scars, except maybe a snippet, but I'm curious about it. Did she sing it on the NYE show?

Also, they also probably chose another single for Adam? Already? I didn't remember If I Had You so I listened to the snippet on iTunes and I think I'm already allergic to it. There's a part in the snippet that sounds like a 90s dance song or something. Ack! Another argument for David Cook not to work with Max Martin *please, please, please*.

I'm starting to be worried that RCA really want David to have a power-pop top 40 hit on his next album. I saw speculation of that in the fandom. Not only is he working with Claude Kelly (a lot!), he was working with him and Matt Squire yesterday. Matt Squire is mainly a producer, but also a songwriter, and he does mainly power pop and pop-punk songs. Not my kind of thing at all.

Oh, and the radio station I listen to (CKOI) has started to play "Don't Talk to Strangers" (second Hedley song they play, after Never Too Late). I admit I might become allergic to it as well... well, I'm close to giving up radio all together now, I hate almost everything they play.

Adam: “I just think you guys in the UK are way further ahead in terms of tolerance,” he adds. “It’s really interesting. In the UK and in Europe proper, it’s less of an issue because people are more comfortable with their sexualities And not just the gay thing, but even playful things, like the concept of androgyny. That is something that generally many Americans are uncomfortable with. Mixing masculine and feminine stereotypes together and playing with it, people get suspicious about it.”

But weeks later, Adam answered his critics when For Your Entertainment sold 200,000 copies in its first week on sale, charting above new releases from Rihanna and Lady Gaga, albeit outsold by a certain Scottish lassie…

“I know, if only it weren’t for Susan Boyle!” Adam laughs. “I’m happy for her success, but that album is terrible. Wild Horses is the one that made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!

“Still, when my album charted, it was validating. I was feeling a bit attacked, like I had to vindicate something. I thought: ‘Wow, look what I did.’”

Maybe-- I don't know. You mean he's that sensitive because she sold more than him? That's pretty sensitive. Anyhow, he sounds petty criticizing an album that sold so much more than his. I'm really losing all respect for this guy. He's rude, full of himself, immature, and arrogant. And if he's just trying to get attention, it's too bad he has to be nasty to other people in order to get it.

Just a question...people keep saying Kris will perform on the finale. But he said he'd be on in April. (Maybe he knew he'd be on the Idols Give Back segment?)
