I'm thinking it's "unprofessional".. is that it? I can see that. But at the same time, Adam was given a big stage and kind of thrown out there on it without the skill set to handle it. I can't help it I still think ABC shares some blame even though I agree that it was unprofessional.
Well, what I thought this interview did was clarify that in fact Adam performed differently than he rehearsed, and he rehearsed it more than once. Wasn't there some question earlier about whether ABC knew what he was going to do or not? I just felt this clarified that they didn't know. They had cleared one thing, and then he did something else. That was unprofessional. (Because it was inconsiderate to the people he was working with, and dishonest.)
But at the same time, Adam was given a big stage and kind of thrown out there on it without the skill set to handle it.
Eh. I don't know. I understand you feel this, I just don't really agree. The Idol TV show is a big stage. The Idol finale is huge. And The Ten Commandments, Wicked. The guy was not a rank amateur.

Yeah, I know you've said that before. I just see him as responsible for what he does.
I know what you mean. At least, I think I do. Are you saying that they hyped him so much that he couldn't help but play into the hype? Or that they somehow gave him the idea that, since they were advertising his act as shocking, if he acted even
more shocking than they expected, that they would be happy with that? I can see that (sort of).
I think why I don't really cut him slack for that is his age, and his professional experience. If he were a 20 year old total amateur, I guess I could make myself believe that a lot more.
