On the AI site, there's a Top 24 video set to Kris's Lifetime. Which I still think is a good song.

And LLWD is #13 on the pop charts. According to someone on the blog:

LLWD is up to #13 on the Pop charts, and should remain in that position when the official chart is released on Sunday.

The interview was funny! Why Neal Diamond though? LOL.

So, the season 9 contestants will have twitter, myspace and facebook accounts during the season. I wonder how it's going to be dealt with. In previous years, they were so much in their Idol bubble and they were told not to google themselves. Also, seeing who has more followers or fans could be an indication of who's more popular, maybe.

Could be. Though a lot of people don't do twitter, so I guess it could end up being an indication of "who's more popular with people who do twitter (or MySpace,.). or whatever)."

I can just see what will happen when someone who's more popular on twitter gets fewer votes than someone who's not! Which is bound to happen, I think. Arguments and fan wars!

Still, I'm in favor of the idea.

LOL, ross. I think we had the same reaction: "Oh well, there could be so may problems with that Twitter thing, but I'm still in favor of it".

Just watched the top 24 video. Lifetime was indeed a good fit for that video, but I'm still with you on the song itself SleepinIn!

The contestants have started to tweet. I'm following only my favorites for now. The tweets all appeared at the same time, so maybe they write the tweets and somebody else is responsible for posting them.

Yeah, I have a funny feeling he might do rather well this season. :) (kidding)

It's interesting that they have some access to twitter though, right? I think it's probably so people don't follow a faker. That happened last season, when everyone ended up following some random tweeters. Plus, then they can carry over their fans to the post-season. Although you're right some will definitely be better at it than others.

I'm listening to the MWK cellcast... even though I don't really hear anything, lol! David seems to be on stage with them doing rhythm guitar and back-up vocals. I think I'll wait for videos! I'm sure it's a great show!

We did talk about it at least a bit, no? Especially while the shows are airing. I guess there isn't much to say just yet. It will probably pick up next week when the live shows start airing.

We are. Four posts before yours, we were talking about this current season and how they're allowed to use twitter and social networking sites this season. It's an interesting topic, in my opinion. We also talk about past seasons of American Idol, and Canadian Idol. Also, some of us have favorite past contestants we enjoy posting about. Please join in, if you want.
