From what I can see NBC isn't showing them. But then NBC doesn't show much at all - do you have any other stations showing the games? But I might be able to tape it. Hopefully

Yeah, I agree with you both. David Cook wasn't pushed either outside of the US (except the concert in the Philippines). He has a pretty big fanbase in other countries, and some people flew in from the U.K., Brazil and South Africa to see him live in the U.S., so I don't think it's because the potential isn't there. I guess they just believe Adam will be more easily accepted outside of the U.S. (and honestly, it seems to work in Canada at least).
I was actually glad today to hear that my beloved Florence & The Machine won Best British Album at the Brit Awards (and maybe other prizes, I'm not sure). She's huge there and I don't really understand why she hasn't made it here. The thing is, she's not miss pop-star, glitter, and euro-dance music. I would say she's the anti Lady Gaga, but they both have an excentric side. Anyway, my point is that Adam's style of music is not the only thing that's popular in Europe.
It's funny. I keep hearing the Muse song on the radio and each time I think, Adam wishes he was singing that song. And he sounds almost exactly like Matt Bellamy (that's his name right?). Also, I bought Matt Morris' album recently and his higher register sounds exactly like Adam's. The style of music is quite different, but the voices are really similar! So much for Adam's unique voice...
No, I think anybody can get albums on youtube. Greg Neufeld has his album on iTunes and so do the Pigott brothers. Matt Giraud and Brooke White also had albums on iTunes while on Idol. And David Cook's bandmates have all their MWK (their previous band) albums on iTunes. I think anybody can get their albums on iTunes, which is awesome.
Oh yeah. Holly from David Cook Uncensored. I wandered there a couple of times. Scary place. They have pages and pages and pages devoted to David'ex Kimberly Caldwell and other girls, it's disturbing. I was glad when I saw Top Idol calling Holly (or whoever that was) out.
Just wandered over to Allaccess. Kris is #39 on Canadian Top 40

Hedley's Don't Talk to Strangers is #20, and Adam's WWFM is #23
Deadmau5's Ghost's and other Stuff (which is awesome) is #32 and the Script is #42 with Breakeven -- I hear the Script all the time now though, and Kris not so much. So I guess Kris is picking up airplay elsewhere.
Oh! And I meant to mention to you Ross that Faber Drive re-did their Get Up and Dance for Much to use during their Olympic broadcast for a contest the Vj's are doing. They call it Quest for Golden Showers.. Nice promo for them.
Matthew Bellamy has a crazy voice too. Completely agree. I haven't really listened to Matt Morris aside from the itunes single from the Haiti thing. (that was him right?)

Yeah, Matt Morris sang with JT (JT actually signed him) for the Haiti telethon (I didn't see it though, I just know he did). His album is pop-soul-jazzy. Kinda hard to describe. Some songs are really awesome though.

That KNA/AML person reminds me of a really bad troll on TWoP/CI who used to post as "JTK" (Jacob/Theresa/Kalan -- or so I figured).
Yeah, I have actually even heard some people this season who sing something like Adam. Not so unique. Of course I don't understand why people say Adam sounds unique, since he sounds a lot like ... well, SleepinIn would know who he sounds like more than I do. Sebastian Bach, maybe? Not exactly, but I mean, people who say that kind of singing is so unique...it isn't. Not a put down at all, I'm just saying...when I first heard him I didn't go, "I never heard singing like that before!" Sometimes I wonder how many idoltards ever listen to music.

LLWD plays on a Montreal station, though, right? It was auto added back in the fall. Or maybe they stopped playing it.
Anyway...#39 is pretty good! I think it still might take off there.

No, me neither. I think he's a fantastic singer with crazy range, but I don't think Adam is the only one out there. But it is amazing that Idol finds these people that are singing in the background that are so good. Like Kradison and even the whole top 10. But for me mainly Kradison.

I think Hedley's going to be hosting one of the MOD days at the base at Whistler, besides their concert. I'll have to check and see when that is.
I just listened to Lee's album (the one called Slumberland) and I actually really REALLY like it. I might even love it. Pull it together Lee, cause I'm rooting for you right now!! And hey, I don't mind rooting for underdogs *wink, wink*.

ETA: Okay, read more about it. He's going to Haiti on Friday. He'll be there only a few days I guess, since he'll perform on Idol on Thursday. I hope they'll bring him back to perform his second single when it's released... on the big stage! Best promotion there is!

I think I posted before that it was playing on the English-language HAC station, no? I don't know if they're still playing it. I never listen to them since I like to listen to music in French sometimes and I hate the commercials in English, lol!

He said he was going to be on the show in April. I'm assuming that's already scheduled. Not sure why he's going to be on now but assume it has to do with going to Haiti, and raising awareness. I think it's a good thing.
(Also, promo now should help his single go platinum faster and his album sales.)
I'm really hoping he does perform in April, and hopefully will be presented with a platinum single. I've been hoping for that moment! I hope this (next week) won't be his only appearance. (Cripes, another thing to worry about.)

I know right? Lol. He'll at least be at the finale for sure, since they always have the winners on, but I was hoping also for a performance of his second single later on the live shows. And see, I had forgotten about April, so it seems my memory can be defective as well! But, yes, I do think it's a good thing he's going to be there next week and keep Haiti in the mind of people. They still need help there for sure. I hope Kris slept a lot in the last few days!!
What do we think he'll sing next week? People on MJ's seem to think he wouldn't sing LLWD, but what else would he sing? I'd bet on LLWD.

Oops sorry I don't mean to confuse you. Much Music is doing their MOD show from Whistler during the Olympics. And they are actually doing 2 shows a day instead of 1. One at 5 and one at 10. The afternoon show is outside for the most part and the evening is inside the local restaurant/bar. Faber Drives's promo is for a bit that the VJ's are showing during the run of the show at Whistler. No one in Whistler has a camera or I'd show you what I mean. (in other words nothing is on youtube) #Canadafail Much is owned by CTV as is MTV now, so almost all the people on Much/MTV/CTV/ and the rest of the consortium that bid on the Olympics broadcast rights are in Vancouver doing bits. Seriously the Olympics coverage is 24 hours a day on CTV. They need lots of folk to man all these channels. Anyway to make a long story shorter.. Faber Drive did a promo song that they are using for a contest they are running (a fake contest) VJ's snowboarding for points, that kind of thing.
I want him to sing I Need to Know. Because that's what I want to hear live. It's more likely that he'll sing LLWD. dontcha think?

Actually I'm glad I have a little background, and know something about Much, etc. Year before last I really immersed myself in trying to figure out all about stuff like Hedley and CI2. Not easy, when you start from literally nothing. That's when I started finding things like old Much episodes on YouTube. Never heard of any of this at that time.
I think that will probably happen. I think the current thing is more about what needs to be done now. I know that Kris did not want to go with cameras on him, as a photo op kind of thing, and I hope he doesn't get used, somehow, but I think raising awareness is good and he can help do that. Also, he's under contract to these people and has to do what they want. I think they want to combiine his desire to go there with their Idol Gives Back program.
Me too. He should be singing his single to promote it. The idea (as I see it) is to draw attention to the cause, and LLWD, a hit song, would be the thing to perform to do that. Plus it's a song that I think fits the situation.
