He really likes AWM. It's such a great song.

Did you guys read how Jive is test marketing four songs (did we talk about this)?
The four being Can't Stay Away, Written All Over My Face, The Truth, and...what was the other one? Is it Over, maybe? (Not sure about that last one.) It's assumed Jive has narrowed it down to these four. Of the four I would choose CSA for the single. I have no idea whether they will test more songs than these four; they very well might.

Where did you read about the test marketing?

I remember last year, RCA (I guess) also did that kind of test with Cook. CBTM was not in any of these tests, if I remember correctly. The choices were Lie, Declaration and Heroes, I believe... and none of these songs ended up as singles.

Where else? lol (mj's blog). Someone found the website where the songs were submitted for test marketing. The fourth song was not Is It Over, by the way. It was Before We Come Undone. I just remembered that. Intesesting about the Cook songs.

I'm not as familiar with Dave Genn but I do remember the name and I loved the Matthew GOod band.

Yeah, Greig's pretty tough on the bands on Disband too. He's got a big brother like demeanor but he doesn't put up with much from them. He's got a great BS detector so I can see him being a really good person for Jacob to work with.

LOL - at Jake being the one doing all the apologizing.

The songs are being rated on Hits predictor aren't they? I think that was the name. It will be interesting to see what they come out with as single two..

I need the AOL sessions. NEED.

You mean since I posted it, or were you onto it before?

I'm watching Jacob, he had a twitter party and was on Twitcam for the whole thing. I'm watching the recording of it. It runs about 30 min. It stalled at around 19.

Ha, thanks for the twitter party link I'll have to watch it. I heard Hedley's song Perfect on the radio today, they waste no time releasing singles.. Or maybe the radio stations are just jumping the gun. It startled me. :)

I'm not much of a Hedley expert (ditto, Canadian radio), but doesn't Hedley's label follow a marketing pattern of releasing different songs from Hedley's albums to different formats? So they can release one song to rock radio and another to HAC almost simultaneously, for ex. I know they did this with their first album and it was very successful (maybe the second, too?) I also think it may have been an unusual move, back then.. They have songs in such varying styles that it's possible for them to pull this off. Maybe that's what they're doing with Perfect?

Did you read on TWoP that Kris supposedly slipped and started to announce The Truth as his next single at one of his concerts? Seems I read this before. I don't know that it means much.

Really? Are there more details? (I haven't read TWoP in a long while.) They did the last concert a few days ago, no? Why is the info only coming out now?

I wouldn't put too much stock in the account of Kris saying The Truth is the next single. I think it might be a case of him announcing the song and by saying next single and then realizing the connotations that fans would put on the word single, and correcting himself. But I could be wrong and they've made their decision for the Truth. There wasn't a lot of info, just that Kris went to say single and corrected himself and said song.

I think maybe I read it on mj's blog, not TWoP...because I can't find it now. I don't blame you for not going to TWoP, though the Kris threads on mj's blog are pretty normal nowadays (if you can take the gushing about his hotness, which can get a little OTT).

So I went over to TWoP to try to find the post in question, and I see the person who calls him/herself FreeBallgamer (who seems to be the artist formerly known as Sweet and Sour, but who knows?) is up to the old tricks. I like to click on these people's names and bring up their old posts...back in October this person was saying people just didn't like LLWD. and wouldn't ever buy it. Now it's the same with the album. The comments are right on time since Kris/LLWD sold the most downloads of all the idols this week, and his album had a 34% (I think) increase in sales over last week.

There wasn't a lot of info, just that Kris went to say single and corrected himself and said song.

Do you know where you heard it? I think that's what we're trying to figure out. :p

Personally I think he just meant to say "song" and said "single." I say this without having heard him , so what do I know? Probably just a case of misspeaking that means nothing.

I guess it happened in Orlando. I checked the videos from Charlotte and he doesn't say anything between playing BWCU and The Truth (thanks youtube user who gives numbers to their videos, we can hear the beginning of The Truth at the end of the BWCU video). He says some stuff after, but I can't really understand what he says, but he quickly introduces MITM, so I don't think that's it. I can't find a video from Orlando that includes what he might have said before the song, just videos of the song.
