First, whoa! Miley? +391%? I hear there was a deal at Wal-Mart or something... And SuBo just grabed the best debut an album in 2009 from Eminem... or probably will when the real numbers are out. I guess she'll go platinum before Christmas.

Second, ouch for Kris, that's a pretty abrupt drop, but not unexpected...

Third, if you count Gaga's totals sales for the deluxe album and for the EP, she sold more than Adam.

I love that he's aware that Alright With Me is a favorite! LOL at the 700$ in his wallet (does that mean he's making 700$ for the concert tonight?) and the "I don't floss" answer.

I hope there will be videos from tonight!

MJ posted that Kris and Allison will appear on the FOX NYE show. Gosh, I hope it's better than last year. David Cook was on it (as well as Daughtry, I think, with a performance that was recorded like during the summer or something) and it was the lamest show ever, well, except the Cook part of course. They spent all show talking about a guy doing a stupid motorcycle stunt over fire or something (it was in Vegas). It was AWFUL. The stunt itself lasted like 3,2 seconds.

lol. He said it was given to him for "per diem". That's for out-of-pocket expenses, like, meals, cabs, tips, whatever.

OMG!!!!! David Cook is playing his last show of the Declaration Tour RIGHT NOW!! It was supposed to be tomorrow, but the show was cancelled like less than an hour ago. Not by David himself I believe.

I'm trying to listen to the cellcast, but it's pretty awful.

Anyhow, lots of shennanigans seemed to happen during Green River Ordinance's and The Script's sets:

@JulesSC: David is crouched down in front of GRO drummer. Put word POOP on drum! [during or after "Out of My Hands"]

@JulesSC: David is eating dinner standing next to Jamey. Singing along with band.[during "On Your Own"]

TC manipulated GRO's lead singer's (Josh) mic during banter ... chipmunked him

@JulesSC: GRO auctioning off pasta dish and fork that David was eating with!lol

@JulesSC: David's playing drums. Gosh, he has the biggest smile on his face. [during "Come On

@luv_4_davidcook: dave's beatin on one pinata and andy the other [during The Script's set] / @JulesSC: David swung a bat at hanging stuffed monkeys. Threw falling candy into crowd. / Captain america out. Dave playing drums. Andy sweeping floors.

God, David is talking right now and he sounds as though he's literally drowning.

Kris Allen Album Cover – No Day But Today

Simple story about Kris not taking off his wedding ring during the album photo shoot. I heard about it but didn't see the exact post until now.

I read a negative comment under an article about Kris, the other day. It read:
"Untalented, twisty-mouthed, boring, married dwarf." Guess the person considers "married" to be an insult.

ETA: So Adam is supposed to sell 195,000 his first week. Congrats to him. It's a lot more than Kris, though not much more than his counterpart from last season, Archie (183,000).

LLWD is hanging around on itunes. #23 on pop, #40 overall. It has passed FYE (#26, #47) again. FYE the album is #33, KA the album is #77.

My head is spinning a bit after a crazy day and now news of CI maybe returning and the not-supposed-to-be-tonight last Declaration Tour show.

@JulesSC: All bands [i.e., The Script & GRO] onstage doing Riverdance. ... David smirking. Neal laughing. Dave says Whaaa? Nothing I can say to that.

@MinnTee: David said "hard for me to wrap my head around everything. really lucky, travel the world. would not be able to do this if it werent for the band"

Adam's iTunes numbers don't really support the huge sales, they seem a lot like Kris's. Anyone else notice this? Kris actually debuted higher on iTunes than Adam, and though he didn't stay in the top 5 as long as Adam, he did pretty well. And last week Kris was about where Adam is now. This keeps making me question the numbers. Something seems wrong somewhere.

On the other hand, on Amazon, Adam seemed to sell much better than Kris. So maybe his big numbers are from that. Or from hard copy sales.

So David wraps the tour tonight? What happened? Venue troubles? Aw, Riverdance sounds awesome. lol.

I watched Adam on Ellen tonight and you know I really do love WWFM, and I think it's going to do really well for Adam (or RCA will know the reason why..lol - but really I think it's a big hit) but he did come across really theatrical in the performance.. he sounded fantastic though. It will iron itself out I think as he performs with the band more. I'm happy for my three AI peeps this year. I think they are all going to do okay.

PLUS the media frenzy 8O - so yeah, I was feeling mildly petty myself about the numbers. Hey we're human right? But I really am glad for them all. You know, deep down inside. LOL! I am though.. lol

I remember that story about the wedding ring at the shoot. I know Kris said that the shot of his ring being front and centre wasn't on purpose.. but it is interesting that they chose that one. Even if Kris didn't notice, I'm sure the record peeps did.

and yeah $700.00 per diem.. yes please! The only thing is that it comes out of Kris's money. It's not free money. Jacob said on MOD, about fame.. "those people that feed you the grapes.. you're paying them" lol so true.

iTunes only occupies around 20% of the market I believe. Representative, but only to a degree. Amazon occupies like 6% of the market and that's physical CD sales and MP3 sales combined.

Tomorrow, we'll have the Soundscan numbers. The HDD numbers can be questioned, but the Soundscan numbers will as good as we can get!

We don't know. David said during his show that they learned a few hours ago that it was cancelled... while the venue says it was cancelled because of travel conflicts, which doesn't really make sense.

Doing Come Back to Me right now, supposed to be the last song *snif*.

WWFM got a lot of radio adds today and yesterday so they seem to finally have found something that would maybe work on the radio. Third time's the charm, right?

It seemed representative of John Mayer, though -- he was #1 on iTunes and #1 in first week sales. I tend to think iTunes sales or Amazon sales could be microcosms of total sales. What I meant about something being wrong was: accurate counting of numbers, such as electronic sales, the iTunes pass in particular. You won't agree with me, but I just have a feeling something is off somewhere and I can't really explain it -- no, it's not wishful thinking! It just seems like one of those things. I suppose if a few months from now if it comes out something wasn't counted right, it will be reported in some back page article and no one will pay any attention to it.

I can't see why FYE didn't get radio adds. It was the first single released by ADAM LAMBERT. Wasn't that enough? I'm not being facetious. The publicity lead people to buy albums but didn't lead radio to play his single. Was it just because it wasn't a good song? That seems to be the common wisdom now. Though everyone seemed to think when it dropped it was the perfect single for Adam and a pretty good song. I thought maybe it had to do with the fans harassing DJs to play it.

I don't know - I find it odd. I mean I like FYE, but for me it really isn't the best song on the album. Maybe they picked the wrong song to "bridge the gap" from Idol to radio. Adam spoke a little about that today on Ellen that for the first performance from Idol to the AMA's people were a little shocked. I know Kris talks about LLWD being a good introduction to the music he wants to make.

Adam also talks about his songs like they are individual performance pieces, so maybe he was looking at the song too literally when he did the AMA's (although it seems to have worked out well for him, so who knows?) Another idea is that the very first rumour about Adam's first song came from that DJ who tweeted that it would be a pink song, remember that? Then he was sort of shot down and he kind of took a shot at Kris? And they released FYE. I wonder if they didn't send out a promo disc to radio that had more than one song on it.(does that happen??? LOL I don't even know..?) maybe the radio stations just liked WWFM better.. although that seems far-fetched doesn't it?

They probably expected TFM to do much better too. I know I did. It was a big ball of cheese but he did sing it well. The video though, re-inforced the cheese factor of the song for me. Then they didn't play it at This is It, and no one seemed to stay to the end of 2012.. just shows ya. Nothing is guaranteed to anyone.

I think that's a good point. Some Cook fans (and David himself also I believe) have said that Light On was also a good introduction to him, while being still something that would appeal to the Magic Rainbow lovers. Adam had a pretty big leap to jump to get the Mad World lovers to like FYE. WWFM is definitely easier to like, I believe.
