Oh and the cancelations on ABC seem really strange. Drama, more drama. For what reason exactly? Kimmell is taped.. ABC must have been PISSED. Which seems so hypocrital when you think about it. They knew what they were airing at the time they aired it. No matter what they are saying now. But, yeah. Tired of it.

Alright With Me sounds awesome live, such a fun song! Love it!

That sounded and looked totally great.

Im not sure if they knew 100% of what they were airing. But anyhow, I think it has more to do with sponsors. If a sponsor threatens to pull out because they doesn't like who's on the show, it's all over. It's still all about representing the product. If Pepsi gets a lot of calls from people saying they'll never buy Pepsi again as long as Pepsi sponsors shows with a lot of perverted stuff on it that freaked out Aunt Mildred and made Tommy hide under the bed, that's all, brother.

I just watched the incredibly lame "live Grammy nominations concert".

Nominations for Album Of The Year:

I Am…Sasha Fierce (Beyoncé)
The E.N.D. (the Black Eyed Peas)
The Fame (Lady Gaga)
Big Whiskey And The Groogrux King (Dave Matthews Band)
Fearless (Taylor Swift)

Wow, 2009 was really a great year in music, wasn'it? Not. I knew that the Grammy's had lost a lot of their credibility in the last years, but it's worse than I thought.

The other nominations are almost all that lame.

LOL at both #thankyouDavidCook and #AdamBringsChange both trending at the same time on twitter. Let me join the #thankyouDavidCook trending...

ETA: Imogen Heap show tomorrow will be broadcasted live on BillboardLive and available on demand after that, I believe. That's awesome. Daughtry did the same thing recently and Archie and Alicia Keys will do it soon. I hope more and more artists will do that!

Probably so, you're right about that.

Oh! and when I heard Kris on the radio today, he followed the Script. lol I have a crazy fondness for them now I have to admit. Even more so after Riverdance. :)

The band was so good, Kris was all over the stage, they just look like their having a great time up there. It's hard to believe that it's really their first time on a big stage together.

Written all Over My Face was soo good... Kris was bouncy.. I just plain love this song.
LLWD, Audience singing along.. yay And crowd response - WOW! Also flinging the pics..coolness.
Alright with Me.. This is going to put the singalong-ness of Hey Jude to shame. Seriously. He's great. Band is great. so fun. Ya ya ya yeah.. Knockin on your door.. baby, baby please...
Can't Stay Away is soo good live. I wish the CD version had this energy. I love his aroooooooo.. Kris and Andrew at the end? Awesomeness.

and Is it Over - live is great.. loved the band jam at the end, and so did they.

And I was looking for Jingle Ball videos on youtube and found this one from Boys Like Girls (who are opening for Hedley next year) and you can see the make-up of the audience since they pull half of them up on stage.... young, young, young.

Somehow I knew this was inevitable.

And female, female, female. That looked pretty cool with all of them onstage -- though the band sounds s bit lame live. Faber Drive is also opening for Hedley, right? I'd like to see that -- they haven't played together for a few years.

Probably so, you're right about that.

(Sponsors.) Well, who knows if I'm right? I'm just guessing. It could also be ABC who's pulling the plug for their own reasons. Why is "Adam Brings Change" trending, by the way? Because of this ABC stuff?

Adam is seriously annoying me. I guess I should explain why, huh? Well, I just think he's an opportunist. I haven't ever thought he was sincere and I think he'd take a dump on stage if he thought it would sell records. (Just sayin'. :) ) Y...M...M...V...

Aren't Stereos, Boys Like Girls and Fefe Dobson opening for Hedley?

Yeah, Stereos, Boys Like Girls and Fefe Dobson.

Faber mentions the tour -- with Hedley, Stereos, Fefe Dobson...
(I've also read about it)...so maybe FD was added at the last minute
.

Oh maybe so then!

Why is "Adam Brings Change" trending, by the way? Because of this ABC stuff?

Yes. Although I do think ABC (or their sponsors) are over reacting, and are wrong. (but yeah YMMV) I think Adam was looking at the performance on the AMA's as performance art. Someone said that in an article I read today, that it wasn't so much a rockstar move as theatre. (Which I tend to agree with) He and his team probably should have thought a lot harder about the fact that as a new artist he doesn't really have all the power in the relationship no matter how much press he's gotten. Although, this cancelation madness might actually give him more power than he had previously.. strange.

Didn't I tell you last week? Well, the tickets for the Hedley show in Montréal were available on Friday I think, but since I'm on the mailing list from the promoters of the show (and a lot of other shows), I receive offers for pre-sales for various shows, and Hedley was one of them. The pre-sale was a couple of days before the official sales date. I guess Stereos, Boys Like Girls and Fefe Dobson are the guests in Montréal, maybe they change during the tour.

This concert in Prince George has Hedley with Faber Drive, Stereos, and Fefe Dobson.

Hedley with Faber Drive, Stereos and Fefe Dobson Tickets at CN Centre in Prince George, BC - Zvents

So I guess the lineup is different on different legs of the tour. The first part of the tour seems to feature Faber Drive.

Lambert admitted he didn't rehearse some of the more risque elements of his award show performance - a point that particularly upset ABC, which said it was taken by surprise by what he did. In the future, he said he'd try to get these issues cleared before the show.

(From this article: Lambert says he got carried away, but not sorry - washingtonpost.com)

See, I just can't believe that ABC could have been aware Adam was going to do "the" move that caused all the uproar. I can't see them clearing that for TV. They did hype the number all through the broadcast, but that's understandable since even without the unrehearsed bits it was outrageous. Outrageous but not borderline obscene. So did people react differently because he was a gay male (as he said)? I don't know, possibly. But if a guy had done that with a female dancer, or a woman with a male dancer, or if it was girl-girl...it still would have been pretty controversial, I'd say.

It's pretty stupid to go up against ABC/Disney. Or any other huge corporate entertainment monolith. But who knows? It might work out for him in the long run.
Seems like he's been eating a lot of humble pie lately, so I think the response to what happened was largely negative, and the somewhat cocky spin he tried to put on it failed (or he'd still be doing it). That's my take on it, anyway. He was unapologetic and bold, afterwards, and tried to play the discrimination card, and I think if that had worked, that's what we'd still be hearing. (I'm not saying he's doing this on his own. I mean it's how he's being advised, obviously.)

Kris will perform on SYTYCD next week, nice! Was that known before? I think it was just announced...

LOL at Katy spending a good part of her evening looking at gift suggestions on twitter. It's nice that they decided to send signed copies of Brand New Shoes. I wonder if the label is alright with that. Probably, but I was a bit surprised that they didn't tell Kris to do as if Brand New Shoes never existed.

It's funny, SuBo is #1 pretty much everywhere... expect in Québec, where our local Fred Pellerin sold more album than her!

I'm not saying that they knew it was going to be that risque, but really when you hype something as the most shocking thing ever. You have to own your own actions. Especially as Adam is a really new performer. They knew this was his first big thing on his own after Idol, they had a press conference a day about it (or it seemed like it) I think the onus was on ABC to make everyone aware that the most shocking thing ever can not include that. And maybe they did, and maybe that's why they're so mad.. who knows?

So did people react differently because he was a gay male (as he said)? I don't know, possibly. But if a guy had done that with a female dancer, or a woman with a male dancer, or if it was girl-girl...it still would have been pretty controversial, I'd say.

I'd say that they did react differently because Adam was a gay male. Although to be fair a girl would probably still get some flack. But, look at Lady Gaga rolling around in blood on that other award show. I personally found that more offensive, so really it depends on the person and what they are willing to see in their entertainment.

Seems like he's been eating a lot of humble pie lately, so I think the response to what happened was largely negative, and the somewhat cocky spin he tried to put on it failed

I think it would have been a different story if the performance had worked -- because ultimately the biggest problem with the performance was that he didn't sing, or perform that well and the song was a bit of a fail.

OOohh.. Kris on SYTYCD? Awesome! I'm going to have to watch it now, I've been taking a pass on the US season. LOL

and you're right. What's not to love about this?
