Humph. And I thought Jim Cantiello's 'scoop' was about Kris. It was about Adam's single. *sulks*

Well, he's still getting promotion on EW's website, with Slezak's hilarious "5 things he learned while watching Kris's album cover".
Oh, and Cook didn't get any AMA nominations (which will air right before Adam releases his record I believe, which is indeed amazing promotion). Not that surprising, even if I was hoping for one. But, seriously, the pop-rock male category? Eminen and T.I. (which are neither rock nor pop and who are both also nominated in the rap category) and Michael Jackson (who is, you know, dead). So, yeah, doesn't make that much sense to me.
Oh, and Cook didn't get any AMA nominations (which will air right before Adam releases his record I believe, which is indeed amazing promotion). Not that surprising, even if I was hoping for one. This is a very good day for Kris and LLWD. 53 (!) stations added the single this week, including HAC, AC, Top 40 and one Rythmic and one Christian station and one Canadian Station (Yay! Montreal!)
It did really, really well.
Most of the stations are top 40.
So Kris will be playing at the school (I want to go to that school! We had visits from school nurses, or safety inspectors.. no rockstars, lol) the pre show and then the ball. (A week to raise $5000.. holy crap - what is their allowance?)

Wow, that's great news for Adam. He's going to sing at the AMA's and premiere his video in theatres for the Michael Jackson movie.. couldn't get any bigger really, unless they beamed it down from outer space. lol
Don't worry Ross. Kris and Adam will do their own things. Adam things are not necessarily Kris things and vice versa. It's alll good. And really Adam being so successful reflects well on Kris.

I was at work and saw the new single cover on mj's. Read some of the comments. Disagreed with some. Posted a comment.
I don't think the fact that the single didn't get a cover pic right away is a negative thing. Even mj questioned why it wasn't there before. I'm usually not too prescient, but every time people questioned that old cover I thought, "It's temporary." I figured today would probably be the day the new one would happen. Put that together with the album cover yesterday, and the single downloading to people with the iTunes pass, and it seems clear Jive has had a plan in mind all along. I hope it works.

I have a problem with Adam being asked to present the nominations rather than Kris. The only reason David Cook did it last year was because he was the American Idol winner. If Archie had won, Archie would have done it (I believe). Asking the runner up to do it is a snub. "We don't care if you won, we like this guy more than you."
I agree with you. I think Jive's plan was to really release the single this week with a bigger push. I didn't mind the first cover, I'd rather have it than some of the idol covers of the past, the newest pictures are really nice, but really the simple lines - I didn't mind that at all.
I look at it from the prespective that presenting the AMA nominations isn't a given for the idol winner. Just like the SNL thing isn't a given. If Adam gets asked to do them and Kris isn't, that's good for Adam, but it isn't necessarily a slight against Kris. It's just that they want Adam. Sometimes that's all it is. Kris will have his own opportunities.

Oh, yeah, Kris will have opportunities. But you do have to remember that more of us voted for Kris than Adam. I was reading a few older articles yesterday. I had forgotten that the AP (pretty reputable) reported that insiders said the vote "wasn't even close."
Now, it's pretty obvious to me that 19 has taken this very seriously, as has Jive.
But it's hard to understand why the industry seems to ignore it. I feel like Adam is being forced on me when I don't want Adam. Not only that, I feel like they want me to forget about Kris. It's like they want to skew everything. This should have ended after the show. I mean, I put up with this all through the show and I've had enough!
