So on the WIP list (whatever that is. lol), did you guys post a comment? I tried to but it didn't work, actually.

Today I have to leave work on time so won't be able to stay after, and play. Still waiting for that adapter to come in the mail...

I think so far they've been pretty good actually. I know David definately had more of that elusive 'buzz' but Jordan was pretty much in the same spot as Kris is now (except.. I didn't like her.. lol) but they did alright by Jordan. In my mind they did anyway. I really liked both her singles when I heard them on radio. I think that helps in the long run, when you think of them as an artist. Do you have posititve associations of them as artists away from the show? That's a big thing for me I think.

I don't know about previous contestants and buzz. I kind of think Kris might have more buzz than Jordin. Just because he's a cute young guy, and most of the fans are girls. ontd-ai, for instance. Were they as excited about Jordin as about Kris?
As for Archie, his charm and appeal really have always escaped me, personally, though I don't dislike him (how could anybody?). He's a little smarmy and phoney-cute for my tastes, though, and the nickname "Gaspy" is appropriate for me where his singing is concerned. (*meow*)

Oops. You probably were talking about press/media buzz, didn't you, SleepinIn? I get it now. The problem is trying to read this stuff at work! Or I'm just kind of slow.

So Kris won the Relly.

LOL - yep you're right I was talking press/media. But you're right too. Kris definitely had more buzz message board wise than Jordan did.

and I was happy about the Relly. No offense to Rupert Grint, but that Relly was Kris's - bwahahahahahaha! (fanwars? *looks around* .. not me.. lol)

I was really happy about the Relly too. It's silly, but it's still nice.

Gosh, two days, guys, I'm getting so impatient now! And Clifton Park will be great also, I will be meeting several Cook fans. Patience is a virtue I definitely do not possess...

Did you see the David Cook baseball video missaddicted? I somehow think you have.. lol
YouTube - David Cook plays "Rockstar Baseball"

and Jim Cantiello (I think one of my favourite interviewers EVER - lol) tweeted.

@jambajim
Our interview will be posted tomorrow. All you international kids should go to bed. You won't miss anything. :)
Sneak peak: Kris Allen bought him a trout as a "thank you" gift.
Interview went REALLY well. Got really cool stuff. Will excite and energize all the Kris fans. Writing article now............. be patient!
Here's a hint: Wrestlers know this person's name really really well. And he/she is NOT a low fat breakfast food. Sorry for the secrecy. :)
Prepping for my sneak attack Kris-collabo interview. Can't wait to chat with this dude. Or is it dudes? Or is it a girl?! Find out tomorrow!

Kris bought the guy a trout??? Lmao.. I totally need to see this.

LOL, I totally had NOT seen that video! LOL at Neal throwing him the ball, funny stuff. David and Kris have that in common: they love baseball.

Kris bought a trout for whom? For Jim? And what's a trout, that's an unknown word for me! And Jim did another interview with Kris? I'm confused...

I have to go, see you later...

Jim interviewed, someone who worked with/wrote with Kris - so he was teasing it on Twitter. But, I guess the interview won't go up until tomorrow, I think it might be print only.

And a trout? Well that's a fish. :)

And Kris bought it as a thank you for the person he worked with.

I'm just listening to an interview with K'naan from the CBC and he had an interesting quote about shows - he's asked how his show changes when he's opening for a headliner at a large stadium since his shows are more intimate and accoustic ususally.

"People don't need to be wowed and entertained, they need to feel".

He then said that he may adjust that after playing with Lenny Kravitz who's shows are bigger.

But, that quote really reminded me of Kris (surprise, surprise) Not to knock the wow factor, but it all comes back to the feeling for me. If there is no feeling behind the music, the wow, is not so wow.

My adapter came. Yay.

That was a really nice interview. A thing I like about him is his body language seems to go with what he's saying. I mean: you sense he's reacting naturally. He isn't acting relaxed while his body is acting tense. This is a weird subject for me. Stopping now. lol

I just heard Heartless on Kiss104.1.

This was a good sign, to me. It indicates to me they're not able to add LLWD yet, or I would think they'd be playing it, not Heartless. Plus, the pool party is over, they don't need to publicize that any more, but they're still playing his song. Reactions? Anyone?

Was it one of you who wrote that Mix played LLWD in Boston at the same time as Z100 played it in New York? I read it somewhere.

According to my French-English dictionary, trout = truite.

Here's a hint: Wrestlers know this person's name really really well. And he/she is NOT a low fat breakfast food. Sorry for the secrecy.

This is driving me crazy. "Wrestlers know this person's name really really well."

I know exactly what you mean though. He's a very truthful person and his sincerity seems to just be naturally him. You can sense that he is who he is. Yeah, I sound weird now too. lol.

Someone guessed Kevin Rudolph because his song was used in Wrestling somehow, but I don't think Kris has worked with him yet.

AND

I think that Mix playing Heartless is a very good sign. :)

WAIT.... Someone at TWOP said that someone else had said (this is like the game of telephone, lmao) that they guessed Mat Kearney. And that Jim confirmed that she was right. (okay I don't see confirmation.. could be anyone still) Oh, the puns.. lol.

Also Z100 has played LLWD a couple of times today, they haven't added it. But they are testing the waters.

Apparently they just used Kris's version of To Make you Feel my Love on SYTYCD?

ross, you're back!!

Great! (You have to wonder about all this caution. Just play it, fer cryin out loud.)

I think that the norm though, no? When I hear a new song on the radio, at first you hear it only maybe once a day or something. Even songs by established artists, but especially for new artists. I mean, I don't listen to the radio all the time, but that's the impression I have. Then, if the song catches on, they play it all the time until you're almost sick of it. I guess they have to test the water first, since the last thing they probably want is to add to their playlist songs that listeners are not that interested in.

So a trout is a truite. That makes sense. I had to run, otherwise I probably would've googled it myself! LOL at Kris buying a trout for that collaborator (Mat Kearney? I hope it is him that Kim interviewed, I'm interested in what he has to say).

You're right. I guess I'm just anxious for the song to start being played. But, anyway, how can they tell if the listeners like a song? That's something I've always wondered.

Kris is tweeting at the moment. It always cracks me up when he does because his twitter feed goes bananas at the most random comments he makes.

He's really hilarious.

Well. radio stations do those weekly music tests. I know I fill one out every week for CHUM. They ask your opinion on all the songs they think of playing.

Sign up for your local stations music survey. Or sign up for CHUM's lol.

Also, most radios have request based shows, I think? The radio station that I listen to has a 6 at 6, so people vote for their favorite song every day at 6, in the hopes that it will make it on that show. I've never voted, but I guess it's somewhat popular.

ETA: I lied. I've already voted on their website, but it's rare that I do it.
