Oh, I don't think it has anything to do with Canada. He just posted that just a bit after arriving to Canada. Neal is kinda weird, but he's a great guitar player!

Interesting, interesting. (I'm speaking only in double today apparently) Kris had a guessing game about who he's working with and after all the guesses it turns out he's working with Eg White. Who wrote for Adele. (nice!!) The interesting thing to me is that I just listened to an interview with the Script (clearly the cross promotion is working since I went to find an interview with them - and they seem really nice actually) And they talked about Adele and how she wanted them as her opening act, so they toured with her in the US.

I glanced at mj's and there's some new stuff about who Kris is collaborating with in London. It's scary as hell that he's supposed to be finished with the album in two weeks. or so he said, didn't he? I wish he had months, wouldn't that be great?

I haven't heard the single on the radio yet. I don't know if Mix104.1 is playing it. I've been listening to them. I'm not sure but I guess they have retired Heartless. Maybe you guys have some info about where it's being played.

On another Canadian forum I visit sometimes, someone said that they had read elsewhere (another forum or blog, probably mj's) that Z100 isn't playing LLWD. And this person concluded from that that radio stations aren't playing it. I think it's all premature, don't you? (This is the trouble with online talk, sometimes, if it's negative. It can create negative buzz that spreads.)

Anyhow, Z100's website has a window in which Kris's picture is featured every few seconds (alternating with other artists), with an arrow to click on, to hear the song. And LLWD is listed in their songs you can request. I tried requesting it, but you have to enable cookies, and I was on a work computer, so I didn't. But it's not on their playlist (yet). I'm actually not worried about it. I don't understand much about how these things happen, anyhow.

PS: Who's Lainey Gossip?

Which for me is good. I want to look at Kris as a new artist rather than as an Idol - I want him to prove himself to the naysayers - cause I know he's awesome. Sometimes, they get the big initial boost and then are left hanging out to dry later on.

Oh, Lainey Gossip is sort of Perez like. She started with a website blog based in Vancouver her blog but she's now actually one of the reporters on etalk. She can be a bit nasty sometimes on the blog (I don't really read it), but on Tv and on twitter she's pretty funny.

Does that mean these nine are the only stations in the whole country playing the song? And two of them are in Arkansas? Can that be right? Why so few? I don't understand. How can a song catch on if people can't listen to it on the radio?

PS: mj said LLWD was at #34 on iTunes' overall song chart, but when I checked it out, it's still at #47 (where it was yesterday). Don't get it.

Ross it will probably go up and down, I think the charts change hourly on itunes and the smallest fluctuations can affect them, they are volatile. lol.

I'm not sure if I know this completely or even really understand it really - but from my experience with following Rockstar what I think it means is that these stations have added it to their playlists. Which sort of means that they admit that they will be playing the song on a regular basis.

Kris's song hasn't gone for adds yet, Which I think is the push from Jive for the stations to add it to their playlists. So not all stations actually have the song, or are able to play it yet.

The ones that are listed as adding it, are playing it regularly. The second chart shows how many times it's been played (I think) So it's been played 267 times so far reaching a potential audience of 1.695 (Million people) Not all the stations that are playing it currently have added it to their playlists. I think it's safe to say that more will add it.

I don't know much about airplay and adds and all that stuff, but I think this has to happen really sooner than later. I'm even a bit surprised that it hasn't happened yet.

Kris was funny on twitter with his riddle. Apparently, it didn't take that much time for the riddle to be solved. I really really like ADELE's Chasing Pavements, and also the two Duffy songs that Eg White wrote, they're probably my favorites on her album.

Aw, Andy (from David's band) is posting pictures of Montréal: Montreal, a few hours ago on Twitpic and Montreal, a few minutes ago on Twitpic. I think I know in which hotel they are (assuming these pictures were taken from their hotel). Not that I'm going to do anything with that information... stalking is not really my thing! At least, the whether is supposed to be better in the next couple of days, I hope they can enjoy my beautiful city!

SleepinIn, if you become a fan of iTunes (CA) on Facebook, you can get 29 free songs! I already had a few of them, but I'm making a few discoveries too. Maybe you already knew about this though...

This is what I thought (well, in a kinda vague way. Since I really don't know how it all works. But I assumed it wasn't available. I think Mix104.1 (for instance) would be playing it, if it were. Since they seem to play all the idols' songs. And after all, if they played Heartless, when nobody else was, wouldn't they want to play LLWD? I would think so.

I don't know much about airplay and adds and all that stuff, but I think this has to happen really sooner than later. I'm even a bit surprised that it hasn't happened yet.

Yeah, this is what I think, too. BUT we're anxious due to being fans, and being online. Which isn't necessarily how things happen in the real world. I mean, the song can be added whenever. It doesn't really matter as long as it happens. (In other words, if the average listener hasn't heard it yet, what difference does that make as long as it's coming, and they will?) Jive must have a game plan they want to follow. My guess -- not that my guesses are ever right -- is maybe they are also waiting for Kris to get a chance to be free to promote the song? Right now he's busy, after all, and out of the country.

Should we just have faith that they know what they're doing? They made Crush into a big hit, after all (Jive, that is). And Jordin's single sold, too, right?

OOh! Thanks for the itunes facebook hint missaddicted. I didn't know that! (I'm a bad facebooker) I'm actually excited about the Patrick Watson song after hearing him at Polaris - and watching him walk around with the megaphone lighting contraption strapped to his back. :)

I think so far they've been pretty good actually. I know David definately had more of that elusive 'buzz' but Jordan was pretty much in the same spot as Kris is now (except.. I didn't like her.. lol) but they did alright by Jordan. In my mind they did anyway. I really liked both her singles when I heard them on radio. I think that helps in the long run, when you think of them as an artist. Do you have posititve associations of them as artists away from the show? That's a big thing for me I think.

The obsessive fans? They'll also buy it on iTunes probably and at Wal-Mart if they offer some bonus song like they did with Cook last year. They won't only buy that one Amazon copy. And they'll probably gift some copies to other people. Everything to get the best numbers on the first week. They want Adam to beat Kris for sure, there's no doubt in my mind. Then, they might be able to stop complaining that Adam didn't win last May.

Yay for shared news of free music! I actually don't go on Facebook that often, but I saw something about that in the "New Music Tuesday" newsletter that I receive from iTunes/Apple.
